Okay. Now, I want to make one thing very clear. I am
*not* showing favoritism by posting this deck. It's
true, I was tickled pink by her comments--but with so
few decks already on the stack, I felt it would be
improper to select this deck over so many others,
despite its obvious merits. However, as it turned out,
I had little say in the decision. You see, Vulpix
threatened to bite me if I did not write this deck up
and post it. And so it is that you see it here before
you. I gotta get me some Burn Heal...

1) I normally don't recommend Ninetales for
multi-color decks. With two colors more or less evenly
distributed, it gets to be a real trick getting 4
energy on him and keeping him loaded--especially if,
as you say, many people in your area run Energy
Removal. Nothing at all wrong with Nidoking--great
Pokemon, awesome attack--but he takes out a lot of
space. Here I might recommend going mono-fire, adding
in another Stage 1 and maybe keeping the Scythers.
With that in mind, I'm going to go ahead and fix your
deck keeping Nidoking in, but think about it, okay? In
that case, the only real thing you want is another
Nidorino.

2) Okay, you've got some very good trainers in
already. Kudos for that. Here's what I recommend. A)
try taking out one of the Traders for another Computer
Search. B) you need Oaks badly, you could take out the
other Trader plus a Bill or the Breeder, or maybe the
Fuji (unless stall is absolutely rampant in your
area.) By the way, people--it's spelled F-U-J-I, all
right? With a "J". Sorry and no offense, but I see it
so often. C) maybe think about dropping a Switch for
another GOW, since it works well with Fire Blast and
Swords Dance, and only one of your Pokemon has more
than a 1 retreat cost. Lastly, you need energy removal
of your own, but at this point I'm not sure what you'd
take out...another reason maybe to think about cutting
that big ol' Stage 2. Maybe a grass energy or two?

3) You may want to try increasing the fire/grass ratio
even more, because Nidoking can run mostly on
colorless if need be. If DCE absolutely doesn't work
for you, I understand, but are you sure it's not even
useful as a sneak punch with Scyther?

The energy is iffy. That's always the hardest part
about a multi-color deck, and is always the part that
demands the most individual testing and tweaking.
Other than that, it looks pretty good. Keep my
comments about going mono in mind, though.

VULPIX: Vulpix vulpix! [I'm developing quite a fan
base, aren't I?]

SPIKE: Yes, you are. Okay, I fixed the deck. Now give
me back my Jhovall Queen. And it better not have any
burn marks on it.

VULPIX: Vulpix vulpix. Vulpix. Vulpix! [Okay. Before
we go, I'd just like to thank Holly for sending in
this very nice deck. Ordinarily, I'd be a bit miffed
at having to share the spotlight, but it's always nice
working with a Nidoking.]

SPIKE: If all went well, there should have been a
couple more Really Bad Decks posted with this update.
Hope you enjoy them.
