A status effect deck. Very interesting. Very, VERY interesting. Hehe. Before my
incoherent babblings become truly frightening, let's move on to the deck itself.
1) Venomoth good. Koffing okay. Tangela bad. Now that I've delivered that astute
assessment of your Pokemon, let's figure out how to go about fixing them. First
rip out Tangela. I can't think of any possible reason (other than financial
ones, which you should have mentioned in your letter) to use this card. Koffing
is much better, so increase him to 4 and make sure they're Base Koffings all
around. Now, do we want to evolve Koffing or not? We do have a fire weakness to
deal with, and TR gave status decks something very useful in the form of Dark
Weezing, so why don't you slide three of 'em in there. Three slots to go to
reach the nice number of 17 Pokemon--we could deviate from that if there was a
reason to, but I honestly don't think there is. Three Scythers should do just
dandy. Yes, I know they don't poison, but they do just about everything else.
2) Trainers are where I might have to send Kangaskhan after you. 4 Bill and 2
Oak is not bad, but I am finding that, with six slots to spread between those
two cards, 3 Bill and 3 Oak actually makes a much better distribution. Trust me,
Oaks are key, and being able to find one in the early game is important. Now we
come to some truly scary trainer choices... Potion and Pokemon Center. WHY???
Potion is not worth the space it takes up, and Pokemon Center... Ouch! Ouch!
Brain cramp! Oh look, we've got six beautiful card slots waiting to be filled
with something good. Try four removal--ER or SER is your choice, but I might
well go with SER here since your own energy requirements are relatively low. Two
Computer Searches should also work wonders. Next we come to Lass, which I
honestly think should be taken out. Some decks work well with Lass, others
don't, and I think this is one of the ones that isn't going to. We can skip over
GOW and PlusPower to the Pokeballs, which will be yan!
ked. We've already got CPU Search
3) Drop down to 18 grass and 4 DCE. (Scyther, remember?)
