Hrm. I admire your intentions. I'll see what I can do to help you out...
1) No complaints about any of your Pokemon. Just one thing... you've got a
dearth of good basics. Magikarp and Clefairy tend to die very fast when left to
fend for themselves. To combat this, I'd probably add in a fourth Scyther and a
couple of other basics. Either Lapras or Kangaskhan would be good bets. I'll go
with Lapras here since you already have psychic resistance. Also... seriously
think about Dark Gyarados. The more I look at this guy, the more I have to like
him. A decent amount of HP, a good attack, and a kickass power... and the
artwork is great too. Just a thought, and go with what works for you. I wouldn't
by any means run out and trade for 3 Dark Gyarados on the spot.
2) Trainers... very good. Except for Potion. I don't really like Potion. Case in
point: today at League I was playing a rather good player who had Potion in his
deck. While I must admit it was annoying every time he Potion'd away the fruits
of my Magmar's valiant efforts, it seemed like he wasn't able to do much else.
Eventually he ran out of Potions and I overpowered him. Now, if he'd been
running something else in those slots... say, Bill...Oak...Search... or even
Energy... Speaking of Search, you need a couple in here. Two or three should do
ya. Energy Retrieval might also be nice if you're going to be cutting the amount
of water energy, as we'll see...
3) Energy. Even with taking out the potions, we'll need to drop a few energies,
but that should be fine. And yes, I think taking out some water for Potion
Energies would be a good idea, since you've only got two Poke with a colored
attack. Just remember that you can't retrieve non-basic energies....
