I normally deck out by decking out and losing the coin flip as the decks there are mostly haymakers and Misty/Pluspower decks at the league.

Heya...

Well, I've heard of Misty decks before... In fact, Pojo's Online Apprentice League's administrator, WEYKOOL, I hear is an expert at it ;)

The problems with it seems obvious... you start with a weak Pokemon, and most likely only a single one since you run very low on basics.  Your best hope is that you start first and draw into what you need.  Your worst nightmare is you lose the opening flip and your opponent goes wild with Trainers and Pokemon and sets up his entire Wigglytuff offensive, including bench before you even get a turn.  ...Or even worse, manages a first turn PlusPower kill on your single Pokemon.  Or another bad scenario:  during set up your opponent places an active AND a decent bench... it's pretty much game over at that point.

Honestly, it's a fad combo deck that can do some major backfiring on you.  I personally just would not play it.  But since your focus of the deck is a first turn kill, we'll keep it like that and do what we can to improve your chances of survival.  I tried to think of some things that could help this deck have a little more lasting power.  What I came up with is this:

Let's see what I came up with...

Pokémon:

I'm going to change your Horsea to a Seel, mostly due to the extra HP... It may help you stave off a first turn kill.   Seel's 2nd attack is also a smokescreen... another staller.  Increase your basics to 8 total.

Trainers:

Add a semi-Trap type engine.  Add more drawing power.  Add Secret Mission for draws and the added bonus of spying on your opponent's hand to see if they have any basics or trainers you need to get rid of.  If you need to kill a 2nd pokemon turn 2, you can try to use Item Finder and Trash Exchange to replenish your deck.

Energy:

Since you are basically ripping your deck open first turn, I think you should get by just fine with 6 water energies... All you will need is one to start you off.

New Deck Listing:

Pokémon - #8

4 Misty's Poliwag (Gym Challenge)
4 Misty's Seel (Gym Challenge / Lv14)

Trainers - #46

4 Misty
4 PlusPower

4 Bill
4 Misty's Wrath
4 Secret Mission
4 Professor Oak
4 Computer Search

4 Rocket's Sneak Attack
4 The Rocket's Trap

4 Trash Exchange
2   Nightly Garbage Run
4 Item Finder

Energy - #6

6 Water Energies

Best of luck, and let me know how it goes with this latest version...
