Original Deck
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Jedi, wazzup? This is my new-ish design of an old deck i made with my sister. It's called aerial haymaker. I haven't tested this version yet and I'd really like it to be the deck that cleans up the league. The idea is to keep the opponent's pokémon basic with Pidgeot and KO them with 'chan, 'lee and scyther.
POKEMON (17)
4 Hitmonchan
4 Scyther
2 Hitmonlee
4 Pidgey
3 Pidgeot
TRAINERS (21)
4 Bill
3 Oak
3 ER
2 SER
3 Pokémon Breeder
3 Gust of wind
3 PlusPower
ENERGY (22)
14 Fighting
4 Grass
4 DCE
Thanks a lot!!
Deck Fix
~~~~~~~~
Deck Focus
Looks nice, but a little too much focus on the scythers. Adding in grass for them really isn't too crucial when you have hitmonlees that can take 3 fighting each...but no big deal, other than that it's pretty focused. And nice to see a good original deck :)
Pokemon
First off, a couple things. If you have a stage 2 evolution in your deck, it's gonna be tough enough to get out. Might as well throw in a fourth pidgeot to make it a bit easier. Also, I suggest adding 1 more Hitmonlee. It'll give your deck a bit more consistancy, as if Hitmonlee is important at all, you'll want 3 so you can get at least one out per game consistantly.
Energy
One small thing here too. No need for the grass energy, as hitmonlee and chan will take a bunch of fighting, and the grass will often go to waste...plus swords dance is rarely very effective. So, drop the 4 grass and add in 2 fighting, making up for the 2 added pokemon.
Trainers
Honestly, this is a pretty tough area for the deck. Not a bad job, just tough to pick the appropriate trainers. You definately need 4 Pokemon Breeders so you can get Pidgeot out. Gust of wind is really important if you're getting rid of Evos, and pluspower won't have a huge effect with your hitmonlees and pidgeots. So drop the pluspowers, and add a Gust and Breeder. With the remaining slot, move it up to 3 SER's, which should strengthen up the energy removal part of the deck a ton.
Strategy
It's a wigglytuff deck...the strategy should be obvious ;)
