Wassap Souper,
Hey Souper. I was looking at some of the polls earlier (Which Archetype
Do You Play?) when I realized that i have never played an Archetype before.
So I decided to make a RainDance deck. I have built the deck, and have used
it only twice. So far, it has a 1-1 record. So can you please help me?!?
-Pokemon (17)-
4 Squirtle (2 Base, 2 Rocket)
3 Wartortle (Base)
3 Blastoise (Base)
3 Magikarp (Rocket)
1 Gyrados
1 Dark Gyrados
1 Lapras
1 Articuno (Fossil)
-Trainer (21)-
3 Prof. Oaks
3 Bills
3 Super Potion
2 Gust of Wind
2 Switch
2 Energy Removal
2 Energy Retrieval
2 Breeder
2 Trader
-Energy (22)-
22 Water Energy
Strategy: My main strategy is to quickly power up a Gyrados/Lapras/Blastoise
using Blastoise's Power. Articuno and Gyrados are for Electric decks. I have
no problem getting new cards, so feel free to totally dismantle my deck.
Thanks for reading this.

Overview
I've mentioned this a couple times before, but I'm no expert when it comes to Raindance. I will try to fix it as best I can,
however. You seem to have a pretty good setup here, covering all the major points. I'd like to add a couple more Articuno
though. Your Trainers are okay but could also use some tweaking.
Raindance as an archetype has been recently declining. With the new sets that have come out recently, Raindance has lost
a lot of its original strength as one of the original Big 3 Archetypes. It's still a good deck, but doesn't monopolize the
environment the way Wigglytuff and Haymaker do. Energy flow and Pokecenter make a great combo in Raindance, one of the
few contributions from recent sets.
Pok閙on
Like I said, the basics are covered, but some tweaking could be done. Remember that Raindance's main concern is to evolve
to Blastoise as quickly as possible. With that in mind, you definitely want 4/4/4 line. It doesn't matter which Squirtle
you use, I prefer Base in Raindance, but it's not too big of a difference. Breeders are usually used for
even more speed, but Itemfinders are necessary for Breeders lost in Oaking. Dark Gyarados is, in my opinion, somewhat
weaker than the original. His power is all that sets him apart, but it still relies on a coinflip and compromises 30 HP
and 20 damage from his attack. Also, let's drop Lapras for more Articuno. With Blastoise's power, Articuno's expensive
attacks are viable and stronger than Lapras's. The Pokemon should now look kind of like this:
4 Squirtle
(4 Breeder)
4 Blastoise
3 Magikarp
3 Gyarados
3 Articuno
Trainers
You'll definitely need Oaks, Com. Search, and IF in high quantities; this is a card-drawing deck. These should be
enough without the Traders, you can drop them. Almost all of the
Trainers will focus on drawing and deck control with a few for disruption and such, like GOW. Breeders for the Blastoise,
of course, and I'd like to add a few Energy Flow and Pokecenter. With Raindance, this can become a powerful combo.
Super Potion won't be necessary and Energy Removal won't have significant impact unless you add more, which you don't
have room for; I'd just take the two out. After all that, you should end up with something like this:
4 Prof. Oaks
4 Com. Search
3 IF
3 Energy Flow
3 PokeCenter
2 Gust of Wind
4 Breeder
Energy
Let's just drop two. That should take you back to 60 cards:
Pok閙on (17)
4 Squirtle
4 Blastoise
3 Magikarp
3 Gyarados
3 Articuno
Trainer (23)
4 Prof. Oaks
4 Com. Search
3 IF
3 Energy Flow
3 PokeCenter
2 Gust of Wind
4 Breeder
Energy (20)
20 Water Energy
The Trainer ratios might need work, playtesting will tell you that. I really wanted to add a couple Bill, but with such
little room I opted for more potent drawing cards like Oak and Com. Search. If playtesting shows problems getting Blastoise
out quickly enough, try to squeeze a couple Bill in, cutting the Flow/Center combo if necessary or if it doesn't seem to
be helpful. Good luck!
