My deck is based around Magmar and Ditto, with Scyther as back up. It removes a lot of energy. I use lots of oaks (I've decked a couple times from Oaking too much,) to get the cards I need. You should go for a 2nd or 3rd turn kill if you have the chance... |
Nice work. I like it when people send me a somewhat descriptive concept for their deck. It makes it much easier for me to find ways to help you to improve your deck. |
4 magmar 4 scyther 3 ditto 2 Farfetched *add 2* |
You may be in a bit of trouble since you only have 10 basic Pokémon at your disposal-- You might consider adding Fossil's "Slowpoke" Why? Because for 2 Psy he lets you dig those Trainer cards from your discard pile without the discarding associated with Item Finders! 4 Magmar : Are these regular Magmar or Fossil Magmar? It doesn't really matter, because Magmar in both sets is a good Pokémon.3 Scyther: Scyther is a nice choice for ANY deck. You can splash him here and you can splash him there.3 Ditto: Ditto is one of my most favorite new cards. |
4 Plus Power 3 gust of wind 2 energy retrievals 2 item finders 2 scoop up 4 energy removal 4 super Energy removal *remove 1*3 computer search *remove 1*1 lass *remove 1*3 Professor Oak *remove 1*2 Gambler *add 2* |
Honestly, your trainers is where you need the most work. You said yourself that you've lost because you've Oaked yourself to death. There is a simple solution to this: Remove some Oaks. If you don't have them in your deck, you won't use them. You might also consider switching out 1 Oak and adding 2 Gamblers. The next thing you want to remember is that you only have a total of 21 energies at your disposal (25 if you use your energy retrievals.) Also, remove a computer search. The last trainer I suggest to remove is your lass. You only have 1, so it doesn't do much good to have it in there. |
17 fire 4 double colorless |
You should have enough energies if you use them carefully. Otherwise, I just wanted to say that this was a nice deck, and I had a lot of fun taking a look at it. Thanks. TPL |
