Energy Removal Deck
(Cross with
Scott)
Hi, I have an ER deck. I need a starter
fix.
2 TR Psyduck
2 (fossil) Psyduck
3 (fossil) Golduck
2 TR Dratini
2 (base) Dratini
2 Dragonair
1 Dark Dragonair
2 Slowpoke
----------------
4 Bills
4 ER
4 GOW
4 SER
4 Pluspower
3 CP search
2 Challenge
----------------
3 DCE
8 Water
10 Psychic
The metagaming in my area is dominant haymaker. I though that since the decks
now run very low on energy and I think I can use his to my advantage. Thanks
for looking at my deck.

---Deck
Fix---
Nice deck, but we can
make it better, especially if you want a chance against Haymakers.
Strategy:
Your energy denial theme isn't bad, but your basics are weak. We must give
you a chance against Chica-Chan-Chan(Hitmonchan) and Electabuzz. (Shake your
BuzzBuzz, Shake your BuzzBuzz.. oh sorry, it's too late).
Pokémon:
Okay, first of all, you have to drop the Dratini/Dragonair line. Dratini
is way too weak, and Dragonair may not be bad, but there is better. MP Mewtwo
is a great combo with Super Energy Removal. Let's play three of those. Slowpoke
is weak and scavenge isn't worth it. Say bye-bye to the Slowpokes. I think
you should add
two Blaine's
Charmanders(Kindle is great Energy denial)
and two Scythers,
since Slash is a nice attack, and it's no retreat and resistance to fighting
are useless. 2 slots open.
Energy:
Your energy is a little too high, let's narrow it down to 7 psychic, 6 water,
4 fire, and 1 double colorless. Double Colorless won't do much in this deck,
only Scyther and Blaine's Charmander can Slash with it, but you'll want to
leave your damage doing to the Golduck and Mewtwo. You actually are playing
a three color deck, now. Remember Kindle
needs a fire
but doesn't need to discard a fire.
5 open slots.
Trainers:
You are missing some essential trainers. First of all, you absoloutley need
Oaks, this is a fast deck, let's max out at 4. Drop a Bill, 3 will work fine.
Get rid of two gusts and the challenges. Challenge will lose games, they'll
swarm you with Buzzes and Wiggly, which this deck might have some trouble
with. Add
3 Item Finders,
to keep your energy removal theme
constant by getting back
removals and Oak. A
Narrow Gym can
take out the No Removal Gym
and slightly
slow down Wigglytuff. Add a Switch, it can be useful. Get a Nightly Garbage
Run in to fight decking yourself and getting Golducks, Psyduck etc. and energy
back.
---Final
Deck---
2 Psyduck (R)
2 Psyduck (F)
3 Golduck (F)
3 Mewtwo (MP)
2 Blaine's Charmander
2 Scyther
(14 Pokémon, notice the more offensive basic. This deck won't get
crushed by Hays as it can fight now!)
----------------
4 Professor Oak
4 Energy Removal
4 Super Energy Removal
4 PlusPower
3 Bill
3 Computer Search
3 Item Finder
1 Switch
1 Narrow Gym
1 Nightly Garbage Run
(28 cards. Some speed to keep up with those darn Hays is added.)
----------------
7 Psychic
6 Water
4 Fire
1 Double Colorless Energy
(18 energy. With less energy, there will be more drawing. We don't really
need the colorless, but one's in there for the times we do need it to
Slash.)
Send me your
Prop15 decks if you are having trouble.
