Overview
::Check out KittyFox's Key Foundations
for his version of this fix::
You've got the basics down, so this deck looks built well already... It could still use
some tweaking, though. Rapidash is a nice card with Agility and a free retreat cost. He
doesn't pack as much punch as you might sometimes need, but PlusPower will help you with that
and make it a lot easier to KO those 70 HP Pok閙on.
Pok閙on
You're kind of low on basics for an evolution deck. Half your basics are Ponyta, and that
can make for a painful opening hand and turn two loss. Farfetch'd can definitely be replaced
by Scyther, and some Fossil Magmar would fit nicely as well. How about...
4 Ponyta
4 Rapidash
3 Magmar
3 Scyther
2 Lickitung
That'll give you some better options to start with and less chance of a mulligan.
Trainers
You've already got some good choices there in good number... PlusPower, GOW, Com. Search,
Energy Removal, Bill, Oak, and Energy Retrieval are all good choices. The others could be
either dropped or replaced with something better, though. For instance, Pok閎all can
be dropped; coinflip trainers usually aren't worth using. Imposter Oak helps your opponent
more than hurting him, and Switch can be replaced with Scoop Up since everything but Lickitung
has a low retreat cost. Potions and Super Potions can go, too; they just don't have enough
impact. All in all, your Trainers should look something like this:
4 Pluspower
3 Gust of Wind
3 Computer search
4 Energy Removal
4 Bill
3 Professer Oak
2 Energy Retrieval
3 Scoop Up
Energy
Switch two Fire for two DCE and you're good to go... Here's the finished deck:
Pokemon (16)
4 Ponyta
4 Rapidash
3 Magmar
3 Scyther
2 Lickitung
Trainer (26)
4 Pluspower
4 Gust of Wind
2 Computer search
3 Energy Removal
2 Bill
2 Professer Oak
2 Potion
1 Super potion
2 Energy Retrieval
3 Pokeball
2 Switch
1 Imposter Oak
2 Pokedex
Energy (18)
14 Fire energy
4 Double Colorless energy
There ya go. The deck should run a bit more smoothly. Hope that helps, good luck!
