Hello Pojo people! Before I
get to the fix, I musty say that I mostly get unlimited decks and I'd like
to fix some in Modified (Hint, Hint). Oh well, I'll cry later ;-).
On to the deck:
----- Original Message -----
Dear TR Shadow.
I read about your article on the
Pojo's Pokemon Website for the deck garages. I wanted to send my deck in for a
bit of advice or changes. The deck is called, "Hopping, Skipping and
Jumping Dark Muks." The strategy is to get a Hoppip in play with a Grimer
ready to evolve, so the main attackers are Jumpluff and Dark Muk. Here is the
deck.
Pokemon:
15
4 Grimer (2 fossil, 2 rocket)
(Evolution to Dark Muk)
3 Dark Muk (Duh, its a Dark Muk
Deck)
1 Hoppip (Neo 1) (Evolve to Skiploom)
2 Hoppip (Neo 2) (I have no more Neo
2s)
2 Skiploom (Neo 1) (Evolve to
Jumpluff)
1 Skiploom (Neo 3) (As above, but I
have only 1)
2 Jumpluff (Neo 1) (I am dying for
the Neo 3 Jumpluff, but I have 0 of them)
Energy:
12
12 Grass (Duh, its a grass
deck)
Trainers:
30
4 Bill (Draw
Power)
4 Pluspower (Extra
Damage)
3 Professor Oak (Draw
Power)
2 Nightly Garbage Run (Get back
good cards)
2 Challenge! (With low basics,
this is vital. Or Draw Power)
2 Super Energy Removal (We need
some disruption)
2 Boss's Way (For Dark
Muk)
2 Gust of Wind (Bring out
weak basics)
2 Super Potion
(Healing)
2 Defender (Added
defense)
2 Computer Search (Get what you
want)
1 Healing Field (More
healing)
1 Rocket's Hideout (Gives Dark
Muk 80HP)
1 Energy Stadium (With low
energy, this can be useful)
This is only 56 Cards, so what else
must I change?, please help me, please, I am begging you, HELP
ME!!!
Please note that I hate using
rare-holos, I can bear it, but I am almost Scyther-less with only one, I think,
and I have only 1 Cleffa. I have very few gyms I like to use as I am mainly
a collector, and have no multiple gyms I like to use, but I can just bear
using 2 of a gym, as that is all I have. Keep the Dark Muk line and the Jumpluff
line.
Andy Pfeiffer.
P.S. Do you know where there are any
Pokemon Card tournaments in South Australia, Australia.
I know, lots of restrictions are hard
to deal with, but PLEASE, FIX MY DECK. And another reason is that my birthday is
on the 25th of October, what a lovely birthday present that would be to fix
my deck, please.
Happy Birthday Andy! I'm
focusing on fixing Modified decks at this moment, but I really liked this one
and I'd like to try one with no rares.
Pokemon:
15
4 Grimer (2 fossil, 2 rocket)
(Evolution to Dark Muk)
3 Dark Muk (Duh, its a Dark Muk
Deck)
1 Hoppip (Neo 1) (Evolve to Skiploom)
2 Hoppip (Neo 2) (I have no more Neo
2s)
2 Skiploom (Neo 1) (Evolve to
Jumpluff)
1 Skiploom (Neo 3) (As above, but I
have only 1)
2 Jumpluff (Neo 1) (I am dying for
the Neo 3 Jumpluff, but I have 0 of them)
I know, you're probably
thinking "what the heck are Jumpluffs doing in a no-rare deck" but since they're
already in there, I'll make an exception ;-).
A 3-3-2 line on stage 2s is a
little undependable. As I said, I won't use any more rares so I'll pretty
much keep that the way it is. Since you don't have any more Discovery
Hoppips add another neo gen one so now you have a 4-3-2 line. Now add in 3
Cleffas and a Tyrogue to make 62. If you don't wan to put Cleffas in a "no
rare deck" then use another Tyrogue and 2 Iggilys for
TecH.
Energy:
12
12 Grass (Duh, its a grass
deck)
This is a very little amount of
energy. I'd add in 4 more.
Trainers:
30
4 Bill (Draw
Power)
4 Pluspower (Extra
Damage)
3 Professor Oak (Draw
Power)
2 Nightly Garbage Run (Get back
good cards)
2 Challenge! (With low basics,
this is vital. Or Draw Power)
2 Super Energy Removal (We need
some disruption)
2 Boss's Way (For Dark
Muk)
2 Gust of Wind (Bring out
weak basics)
2 Super Potion
(Healing)
2 Defender (Added
defense)
2 Computer Search (Get what you
want)
1 Healing Field (More
healing)
1 Rocket's Hideout (Gives Dark
Muk 80HP)
1 Energy Stadium (With low
energy, this can be useful)
This is the part that needs
tweaked. Take out all the Bills and add in 2 more Gusts
of wind. Now take out the Super Potions and the Defenders. Trade the
Healing Fields and the Energy stadium for 2 more Rockets
Hideouts.
As I have said many times, I
usually go 3-2 on Oaks and Elms so take out all the Bosses ways and add 2
Elms. Elms function much better than The Bosses Way. Now to expand
on the draw, trade the Challenges for 2 Copycats. Unlimited decks always
need lots of draw power.
I would add more CPU searches,
