Hey all in Pojoland!
I'm back from an exciting break in NYC, ready to fix
decks once again! Here is Jamie's fun deck, needing a
tune-up.
"Heylo! This is the deck that I generally use just
with my friends -- nothing competitive, and I was
wondering if you could fine-tune it for me. Basically, I
stopped playing for a long while after Gym-Heroes, and I
have very few newer cards; I'm out of touch! So,
basically, my aim is to find out some newer cards that
would fit better with the cards I currently have... My
resources aren't unlimited per se, but if needed, I can
buy a few singles to bulk up or swap out families if
suggested =D. The deck is basically comprised of my
favorite cards, and while I employ no intricate strategy
or combo's, it does pretty well using a fairly nice
balance of speed (Electa/Wiggly) and power (NT/Raichu).
^^; Enough babble... on to the deck!

Thank you very much for your time! Much appreciated =D"
Hmmm, clever, fun ideas you have here. However, it is
some serious tweakage here or there to be really solid.
Let's look at the pokes:
"Pokémon [20]:
3 x Vulpix [Base Set]
3 x Ninetails [2 Non-Holo Hidden Legends (Safeguard); 1
Base Set]
3 x Pikachu [1 Lv.14 Jungle; 1 Lv.16 Promo; 1 Base Set]
2 x Raichu [Base Set]
3 x Electabuzz [Base Set]
2 x Lileep [ex-Sandstorm, Time Spiral]
1 x Cradily [ex-Sandstorm, Spiral Drain]
2 x Jigglypuff [1 Jungle; 1 LeafGreen/FireRed)
1 x Wigglytuff [Jungle]"
Hmmm, first off, we should add just pure focus to the
deck. In my opinion, go with Cradily and Ninetales as
your focus; ditch the Wiggly and Raichu lines, so that
you can bolster your other pokes. To increase
consistency, bump up your cradily line, your ninetales
line, and you're set!
-3 pikachu
-2 raichu
-3 electabuzz
-2 jigglypuff
-1 wigglytuff
-1 Ninetales
+1 vulpix (change them all to hidden legends)
+2 Ninetales ex
+2 Cradily
+1 Cradily ex
only 54 cards?! No fear, 'cause I'm about to get
to...the trainers:
"Trainers [20]:
2 x Root Fossil
2 x Bill
2 x Energy Retrieval
2 x Double Full Heal
2 x Potion
2 x Super Potion
1 x Pokemon Breeder
2 x Gust of Wind
3 x Professor Oak
2 x Energy Search"
First off, since the cradily line was strengthened,
you'll need a good foundation to build on, a.k.a. 2 more
root fossils! Although this deck could easily be made
into a legal, official modified deck, we'll work with an
unlimited trainer engine. Although it really does look
like your gusting is down, leave them in just in case.
-2 double full heal
-2 potion
-2 super potion
-2 energy search
-1 pokemon breeder
-2 energy retrieval
+2 Root Fossil
+3 rare candy
+2 gold berry
+2 Bill
+2 focus band
+3 computer search
+3 item finder
+2 copycat
+2 super energy removal
+2 claw fossil (extra stalling/combo material)
"Energy Cards [20]:
6 x Fire Energy
6 x Electric Energy
2 x Grass Energy
2 x Rainbow Energy
2 x Double Colourless Energy
2 x Potion Energy"
Not much here, other than to add some more double
colorless and rainbow. Also, remove potion and others to
make your deck 60 cards. Add that, and you have the deck
finished, looking lik this!
Pokemon (14):
4 Vulpix (HL)
2 Ninetales (HL)
2 Ninetales ex
2 Lileep
3 Cradily
1 Cradily ex
Trainers (30):
4 Root Fossil
4 Bill
3 Professor Oak
3 Computer Search
3 Item Finder
3 Rare Candy
2 Copycat
2 Gust of Wind
2 Focus Band
2 Gold Berry
2 Super Energy Removal
Energy (16):
4 Fire
4 Grass
4 Rainbow
4 Double Colorless
Here it is, the final fix! Best of luck, and may your
status effects be forever...pwnage!
