Subject: Armageddon Deck

Yo Z, I already sent this to *name changed to protect
the innocent* but then I read his report where he
disses fire decks, so I decided to send this to you. You do much better
reports in my opinion. First, here's my deck-it's called Armageddon.
12 Fighting energy
13 Fire energy
3 Recycle
2 Super Potion
1 Mr. Fuji
1 Defender
1 Gust of Wind
1 Energy Retrieval
1 Energy Search
2 Charmander
1 Charmelion
1 Charizard
2 Growlithe
1 Arcanine
3 Onix
2 Rhyhorn
1 Rhydon
1 Ponyta
1 Rapidash
1 Cubone
1 Marowak
1 Moltres
2 Geodude
1 Graveler
1 Golem
1 Machop
1 Machoke
In this deck I stall by sending out Fighting Pokemon with high HP and
attacks
such as Harden. While my Fighting Pokemon are out taking hits, my Fire
Pokemon are on the bench getting pumped with Energy and evolution. My deck
doesn't seem to work very well, I recently faced a Psychic/Water deck and
got
pummeled. Could you please help me? Thanks.
-The Master Formerly Known as Maggie
--------------------
I'll explain real quickly WHY you're getting pummeled. You have no focus
in
this deck. You need to trim away the excess baggage; get rid of all those
useless evolution lines, and focus on the GOOD ones.
Oh, and here's a really important tip, that you must remember: USE
MULTIPLES. You should NEVER have 1/1 in an evolution line. I repeat,
NEVER. So drop all that silly, useless crap like cubone/marowak and
machop/machoke and rhyhorn/rhydon. Also get rid of the Charizard, as
that's
one of the worst fire pokémon out there. Stick with Charmeleon, and
you'll
get along fine.
Try to get to at LEAST 3/2 on the evolution lines you decide to keep. Oh,
and for the love of Chipmunk's almighty Bob, lose the Geodude family! I
cannot STAND that line... simply awful. Starts with a terrible basic, ends
with an abominable stage 2.
Ok, trainer time. You appear to have picked a moldy batch of... *ahem*...
well, anyway, they're not so hot, eh? Drop Recycle, Energy Search, Super
Potion, and Defender. Gone. Finis. Put in trainers that are
actually
*novel idea coming up*: GOOD! (I told you it was a novel idea.) You
should
have plenty of room, with all we've dropped (and you only had 58 cards to
begin with). Bill, Oak, more GoW, Energy Removal -- you know the drill.
I
say this just about every single time, so read up on some older fixes, and
you'll see what to do.
Well... that should help. PLEASE try to trim it down; that'll make
everyone
happy (you'll win more, so I'm assuming that'll make you happy). Ok?
It's
a deal.
Z
