Kyle Theaker's Deck Garage
Welcome back. This is Day 2 of Kyle
Theaker’s Deck-Fixing Marathon! Today’s
deck is an Unlimited Lightning bench
destructor. It looks pretty cool. This
deck comes from Blastoise 1992.
stratagy-this deck was made to k'o the oppents bench w/ electric type pokemon to provide a quick win i have acsess to pretty much all cards from base to neo destiny and a medium amount from expidition-team rocket 2 please fix thanks blastoise 1992
pokemon-19 4 pikachu jungle 2 raichu fossil 1 dark raichu rocket 2 elekid neo genisis 1 electrabuzz base two 1 electrabuzz movie promo 3 zapdos fossil 2 magnemite aquapolis 1 magneton (dont know set attacks-poke-power magnetic field , magnetic force) 1 raikou neo revelation
trainers-22 1 pokeball 1 masterball 1 pkmn trader 2 energy removal 4 potion 2 energy search 3 computer search 2 bill 2 switch 4 recycle
energy-19 17 lightning energy 2 recycle energy In case you, my loyal readers, haven’t noticed, I specialize in Unlimited decks. Therefore, this one will be much easier to fix than yesterday’s. However, I need Modified decks, too. Please, send away. Now then, I’m going to base this deck around Dark Raichu. With a little luck, this Pokémon does a lot of damage. We’re going to run 3. + 2 Dark Raichu To support the Dark ‘chus, we’re going to make all of the Pikachu the Movie Promo variety. This gets Raichu powered up much more quickly. We’re also going to use the Skyridge Magneton, which combo’s well with Pikachu and can easily KO 2 or more Pokémon at once. To truly utilize Magneton to its fullest potential, we’ll run 3. to do so, we also have to up the Magnemite count by 1. + 1 Magnemite + 3 Magneton (Skyridge) The final addition will be three Rocket’s Zapdos which recovers energy lost by Magneton and delivers an efficient finishing blow. + 3 Rocket’s Zapdos The rest of the Pokémon can be removed. Now this deck faces a few problems, still. The biggest is resistance. To combat that, we need 2 Scyther. It may be an outdated ancient relic, but it’s still really efficient, I’ve found. + 2 Scyther (Jungle) Also add 3 Cleffa. It’s a great basic that belongs in nearly any Unlimited deck. Trainers: We’ll start with 3 Professor Oak so you always have the cards you need when they’re needed. + 3 Professor Oak Energy Search is worthless when you’ve only got one type of energy, so we’ll drop those. Actually, remove all of these: 1 Poké Ball 1 Master Ball 1 Pokémon Trader 2 Energy Removal 4 Potion 2 Energy Search 4 Recycle The Bills are decent cards, but there’s a better card for this deck. Let’s drop Bill and add 2 Challenge. Challenge gets your Pokémon out faster and fill’s up your opponents bench with victims of Magneton and Dark Raichu. - 2 Bill + 2 Challenge Strength Charm is also good in this deck. It could easily provide the last 10 damage that you need to win the game. Run 3. + 3 Strength Charm 2 Wally’s Training evolves Pokémon faster. 2 No Removal Gym keeps energy on your Pokémon until you’re ready to discard them. 2 Gold Berry can heal your Pokémon. An alternate idea is 2 Pokémon Center instead. If Magneton hits the field sans damage and absorbs all energy from your other Pokémon, Pokémon Center heals everybody for free. 3 Gust of Wind can move a heavily damaged Pokémon to the field for a final blow. 2 Item Finder is a must for any Unlimited Deck. For the energy, we’ll run 14 Lightning, 2 DCE, and 1 Full heal just in case. Here’s the revised deck: Pokémon: 21 [4] Pikachu (Movie Promo) [3] Dark Raichu [3] Magnemite [3] Magneton (Skyridge) [3] Rocket’s Zapdos (Gym Challenge) [2] Scyther (Jungle) [3] Cleffa (Neo Genesis) Trainers: 24 [3] Professor Oak [3] Computer Search [3] Strength Charm [3] Gust of Wind [2] Challenge [2] Wally’s Training [2] No Removal Gym [2] Gold Berry/Pokémon Center [2] Switch [2] Item Finder Energy: 17 [14] Lightning [2] Double-Colorless Energy [1] Full Heal Energy That adds up to…62 cards?! Better adjust. Drop 1 Gust of Wind and 1 Strength Charm. Here’s your (revised) revised deck. Pokémon: 21 [4] Pikachu (Movie Promo) [3] Dark Raichu [3] Magnemite [3] Magneton (Skyridge) [3] Rocket’s Zapdos (Gym Challenge) [2] Scyther (Jungle) [3] Cleffa (Neo Genesis) Trainers: 24 [3] Professor Oak [3] Computer Search [2] Strength Charm [2] Gust of Wind [2] Challenge [2] Wally’s Training [2] No Removal Gym [2] Gold Berry/Pokémon Center [2] Switch [2] Item Finder Energy: 17 [14] Lightning [2] Double-Colorless Energy [1] Full Heal Energy May this deck serve you well. |
