PokéROMS

The Little and Big Critters have made it to CD and they are testing our Knowledge of Pokémon, Maths, Grammar and much more! So here is a total review of all 10 of the mini CD ROM's, that will make these sentences go round in your head I KNEW THAT ANSWER or HOW COULD I FORGET IT (after you see the right answer that is).

Each PokéROM features:

A Trainer race game that you can play with three friends.
Solve a Pokémon Maths Puzzle.
Each PokéROM has lots of Pictures from Different Pokémon Cartoon Episodes.
If you solve a maths puzzle you can print out a picture of a Pokémon.
Each PokéROM adds new Questions and Answers for the Trainer Race.
Each PokéROM adds new Pictures to your Pokémon Observation lab from the Cartoon.
So each PokéROM adds to your Pokémon Database.

What I think of it

Price wise seems good, each PokéROM is about Ł5 and you can buy all ten in a collection box for Ł40.   (U.S. Prices are in the $5 to $7 range each)

It's a good Idea to have a printer and probably better if you had a colour Printer.

I thought this game is quite good because of the fact that it goes from Grade 1-5 so it has quite a range of ages. I think that even though the package says 3+ it should be for 6-12 yrs.

I like the fact that the announcer from the cartoons voice was on, and Professor Oaks voice from the cartoon, and the official Nintendo logo is on, so this shows its not a two bob operation by Joe Bloggs from down the road.

On the Trainer race at first you answer questions by turn but later on you can play the lightening round! Which is where you put your hand on the special key that you are given. Your PC will then show a question, and will display an answer for 5 seconds, then it will move on to the next possible answer, in the time it shows the answer that you think is right you press your Special Key.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is the Trainer race and the Observation Lab

In the Trainer Race you can get three friends and go head to head answering questions turn by turn. Then you go on to the lighting round Which is where you put your hand on the special key that you are given. Your PC will then show a question, and will display an answer for 5 seconds, then it will move on to the next possible answer, in the time it shows the answer that you think is right you press your Special Key.

In the Observation lab you can view pictures from the Pokémon cartoon. You have to find the Pokémon, you look around the screen, and if your radar goes off you click where the Radar is turning white on and off.

Maths Puzzle

The maths puzzle is based upon the Principe of matching pairs. Where you match an equal card to another equal card e.g.;

10 x 5 = 25 x 2 (it depends on your age how hard the sum is this is one of the higher grade sums)

I would give this game 87% I would recommend it almost in the 90% - 100%s of course I wouldn’t give any games 100% because there must be something that makes it not perfect.
