Rare Candies
February 23, 2001
In this tale I am about to tell you, there is
a kid who wants to get things done very quickly, and one who takes time
and make sure things are at best. These kid were rivals, always trying to
beat each other. They both got the Pokemon games for GBC. They decide to
have a battle. After mass research on the internet, the kid who
likes to get done fast finds the worst thing ever, how to get infinite
Rare Candies!!!!!!!! With this, he figures he can get his pokemon to level
100 in 10 minutes and just worry about his moves. The other kid, however,
doesn't find the code, and trains his pokes to level 100, then the kid
learns about the box trick, and gets them to their maxium stats. Then the
day comes, they battle....
The kid who likes to take time overwells the
other....why!? It couldn't have been the box trick all by itself, could
it?
Of course not, it was the most vile thing
besides mewtwo to stuff itself into Pokemon: Rare Candys!
Rare Candies raise the pokemon you give it to
one level. Pretty simple, huh? Heck, why spend hours raising your pokemon
to level 100 when you can just duplicate your rare candies and do it in 10
minutes?
Heres Why
Besides levels, Pokemon get stat increases for
beating other pokemon and Vitamens (e.g. Calcium) and when you don't rare
candy, they get alot better stats. And this seriously effects them. In all
catagorys.
Heres some examples...
Rare Candied Jolteon: 261
Fully Boxed Trained Jolteon :309
(JS Note: Fully Boxed means when there is
absolutly no way to raise its stats anymore w/o a gameshark)
Pretty Nasty huh? All its other stats are
almost 50 less to.
However, Rare candy can be good. For one
thing, if you use rare candies, you can always box the pokemon to maxium
stats. And also you can use rare candies to see what moves a pokemon
learns.
With the boxing idea though, it would be
quicker to just train it to level 100, then use the box trick.
Also, for those how are sceaming, "I
DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO RAISE MY POKEMON TO LEVEL 100!!! RARE CANDIES IS
THE ONLY WAY I STAND A CHANCE!!!"
A trained level 70 pokemon is probably
stronger than a level 100 rare candied Pokemon. And besides, if you don't
have enough time, just play for 10 minutes a night, or before you go to
bed, they will get their eventually. I hardly ever play it, and I
got level 100 pokemon.
Of course, if you really don't have that much
time, then why did you get the game!?
Enough ranting, I hope you agree, and stop
using rare candies on your pokemon so you don't screw up their life.
