Hi everyone; sorry for the lateness of the report, but
I've been without internet access until recently. I should be back to my
regular schedule next week. Anyway, not much new at the Feb. 7th chat, but
I'll give you what I've got.
Enjoy,

a trip there
master_trainer_mike says, "Yes they can! The more of you the merrier!"

master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #339 from
crosstrainer:
Has a city been chosen for the World Championship yet?
master_trainer_pat says, "Not quite, we're down to two lovely
finalists...but we won't tell you who yet"
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #344 from
matthewssandslash:
Did the cities compete to have Worlds in their city (like the cities did for
Boeing a year or so back)??
master_trainer_pat says, "I don't think we're as big a prize as Boeing."
master_trainer_mike says, "We asked them to send us their best donuts so we
would know where we could get some. This obviously meant, any city that
submitted Maple Bars lost!!!!"
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #335 from marril2000:
did the art department come up with a challenge series/gym/stadium logo, and
when will we possibly see them (before the event)?
master_trainer_mike says, "There are Logos. You will see them soon!"

major event?
master_trainer_mike says, "Maybe, if you are a Professor you might even see
some of that THIS year :) (HINT)"
TEAM MULTIPLAYER FORMAT:
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #357 from
rurouni_joshman:

master_trainer_mike says, "Regular tournaments AND a sanctioned Pokemon Team
Multiplayer event :)"

help."
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #362 from daddyum:
When and where is GenCon?
master_trainer_pat says, "It's held in Milwaukee, WI the first weekend of
August (usually). I'm not positive on the dates this year"
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #360 from
rurouni_joshman:
What can you tell me about the Team Multiplayer Event?
master_trainer_mike says, "We are still playtesting this new format. We will
also be asking Pokemon Professor to help us playtest this format. Once we
have all of the bugs worked out, we will sanction it."
NEO DESTINY:
master_trainer_pat says, "You'll all be pleased to know that we saw the
Shining cards from Neo Destiny recently...they have a new foil treatment.
They are different from the 2 Shining cards we had in Neo Revalation."
master_trainer_mike says, "And they will be a little more rare than your
regular foil cards!"
master_trainer_mike says, "They look pretty cool!"
master_trainer_mike says, "The Neo Destiny set has a lot of great cards in
it! I see new deck types being made (since we are making them already) :)"
master_trainer_pat says, "Only a little more rare mind you."
master_trainer_mike says, "medium rare :)"
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #316 from
monkeyman8889:
Any new info on Neo 4 that can be released like the date it can be let out
master_trainer_mike says, "NOPE!"
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #364 from
gym_leader_blaine:
will the shining card foils be like the ones in Neo 4 set that came out last
year?
master_trainer_pat says, "We'll have to wait and see because I honestly
don't know what those one looked like."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #374 from
matthewssandslash:

CARD-E:
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #328 from
teambowchubash:
Heya MTM....you get your sugar before you came this week? hehe And Pat...you
surviving in there with him? o.o';; Anyways...for an on topic
question...have they set a release date for the E-card series yet?
master_trainer_mike says, "Sugar!!!!"
master_trainer_mike says, "We don't have official release dates, things keep
changing all the time."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #333 from
teambowchukit:
So what comes after the E series?
master_trainer_mike says, "geez, any answer I give you now will be entirely
different next week, you really have to wait and see (just like we do)"
POKEMON LEAGUE:
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #301 from darkpoinko:
for the snorlax drawing contest, can we scan in a picture and computer-color
it then print it off on the official form, or does the original art have to
be on the form?
master_trainer_pat says, "If you can manage to print the image right on the
form, that would be fine."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #400 from sd_pokemom:
MTM: we had our first end-of-season tourney last night, and the kids had a
blast! They're really looking forward to the next one; will there be a
format mandated for the Season 2 tourney, like Modified?
master_trainer_mike says, "Now this is a tough question right? As I wrote in
the league materials that decision will come down to the Gym Leader for each
league. Since you know what your players own and want to play you should
decide with your players what format to run. Just like some of the members
here have said, they want to play with their older cards. Some players only
want to play Modified. Only the Gym Leader will be able to correctly gauge
what will make the most players at their league happiest. Since it is a
local event it would not be fair of me to mandate anything. Hope that
helps."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #403 from sd_pokemom:
RE:400; Mike, I thought we were _told_ in the GL materials to run the season
one tourney Standard? Or am I imagining things? But thank you; Leaving it up
to the GL is fine! :-)
master_trainer_mike says, "For the first season to make it easy for new Gym
Leaders that is what I said. In later forms I explain how the GL should
choose."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #402 from
bigdaddysnorlax:
Will the Gym Leader be limited to Standard or Modified, assuming they don't
sanction the tournament?
master_trainer_mike says, "We strongly recommend you run sanctionable
formats whether you choose to sanction them or not. The point of the League
is to teach players new skills and help them so they can compete at Worlds
if they wanted to. If you teach them ways to play that will never see the
light of day at a premiere event (such as Hybrid for example) you might
confuse the younger players. Remember as Gym Leaders and Professors you are
role models to the younger and newer players. With that comes
responsibility. If you wanted to run Booster drafts and all of your players
were comfortable with that, you certainly could do that though."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #431 from sd_pokemom:
What is the K value of the League end of season tourneys?
master_trainer_mike says, "It is currently 16k. We will be introducing
variable k in a few months (along with the higher level of the Professor
Program)."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #443 from sd_pokemom:
Will it be 16K even under 3 judge? or back to 8K for that?
master_trainer_mike says, "8k for 3 judge tournaments."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #448 from michel1be:
Which are the conditions for running a league ? I mean, what kind of local
shop must it be ?
master_trainer_mike says, "It should be a store taht has some space for game
play and that sells Pokemon. Could be a toy store, a book store, card shop,
hobby, etc."
PROMO CARDS:
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #299 from shannon9:
where can i get promo cards 40 and 41?
master_trainer_pat says, "At the Pokemon Center in New York City."
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #305 from shannon9:
is there any other way to get those promo cards?
master_trainer_pat says, "Not right now. The only way to get promos 40 and
41 right now is at the Pokemon Center in New York."
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #325 from purity1:
Actually...they aren't giving out 40 and 41 at the store anymore...at least
they weren't when I was last there
master_trainer_mike says, "Ok, they may be out."
master_trainer_pat says, "Well, I guess the only way to get it right now
then is to trade for it or buy one."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #324 from
crosstrainer:
Basically, what does the Lucky Stadium card do?
master_trainer_mike says, "once per turn each player can flip a coin, on
heads they can draw a card. It is a stadium card."
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #330 from
mt_ice_cold:
will ucky stadium be released in neo destiny, or is it excusive to The new
York pokemon center?
master_trainer_mike says, "It may be coming again soon :)"
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #336 from darkpoinko:
any word on if there's gonna be a promo for the Pokemon 4 movie? or even if
there will be a pokemon 4 movie?
master_trainer_pat says, "We have not heard anything yet about that"
MISCELLANEOUS:
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #306 from darkpoinko:
what's up with VS? did TPC not want you to release it, or was it a choice
made by WotC not to release it?
master_trainer_mike says, "VS did not fit for our market. It is a stand
alone separate game and would have confused the new players."
master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #322 from mt_ice_cold:
whats tpc?
master_trainer_pat says, "The Pokemon Company"
master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #331 from
mt_ice_cold:
It reference to my other question, TPC is the company that makes the
japanese cards, correct?
master_trainer_mike says, "Not completely. TPC is the company that controls
the license. There is also Creatures, who create Pokemon themselves,
Nintendo is involved, 4Kids Entertainment is involved and so on."
master_trainer_mike says, "It is not an easy brand to understand."
