Inuyasha News Pojo Note: Wyatt is one of our Inuyasha COTD reviewers that is taking some time off from Card of the Day as he's a foreign exchange student in Japan. Yo, it’s me, Wyatt! I
finally got the chance to use a computer. Japan is very
interesting. I especially like seeing Tokyo. The
architecture is amazing. I am currently living in Niigata
Prefecture, in Shibata city. It is a small city, but it is
very close to Niigata city, the capitol of Another interesting thing about Japan is that there are vending machines everywhere, about every block inside the city there are 1 or 2 drink vending machines, and a little less frequent, but still in large number are cigarette vending machines, anyone can buy them, you just can’t smoke them until you are 20. Another interesting thing, which I find quite vexing, is the Japanese style toilets. Porcelain, like Western style toilets, however, that porcelain is in the shape of a whole in the floor, which one cannot sit on. I will only say that using it hurts my back. Manga can be found quite cheap here, especially at used book stores, where some might cost as little as 84 yen. (Exchange rate is about $1 to 120 yen.) People take baths at
night, and the same water is used for each person. Each
person baths separately of course, and one washes outside
the tub, and then relaxingly soaks for a little while in the
tub. I am running out of things to say, so I will leave you
with a few final words. I highly recommend more people try
foreign exchange programs, and if you do, and you go to a
country with electrical outlets, take a portable video game
system (I brought my PSP), it will relieve boredom and help
to not feel homesick. |
