How’s it Pojo Inuyasha fans? Now, I
took some time off because of school, women, and a
brief delve into Pokemon, but I’ll be back for a
while. (Might end due to a trip to china, but that
depends if I have a comp there…)
Anyway, this week we get to take a
look at the promos people got when they went to the
Regional and just show up. I would like to at least
hope for one of these to be in the Northwest
eventually seeing as how So Cal had one with only 9
people…
Inuyasha, Seeker of the Shikon Jewel
Cost:
3
Rarity:
Promotional
Traits:
Cute – Demon – Good – Human – Male - Unique
Attack:
6 White – 3 Red – 4 Purple
Ability:
To play this Inuyasha, you must
control a different one. When played, search your
graveyard for a Tetsusiaga and attach it to
Inuyasha. When Inuyasha defeats a character, search
your graveyard for a card not limited to 1 copy and
put it in your hand.
Wow. This card really makes me wonder
why the hell they made this exclusive to people who
either have the money to fly everywhere or are lucky
enough to have a regional nearby…
The first effect kind of blows a bit.
You have to waste one of your 2 summons to play this
guy, and you have to have another Inuyasha out to
begin with…a different one. What that means is that
it’s mainly late game or desperation type of deal.
The second effect should almost
always happen because this card is a later game
card. Chances are you already milled your deck of a
Tetsy already, so it’s all good…If not, meh. At
least you still have the next effect
The 3rd effect is really
what makes the card friggin incredible. When
Inuyasha defeats a character (which it will since
you should be attacking with it first), you get a
non 1 limit card for free. Should we take a list of
cards it can get?
My Hero – Deal With It – Whirlwind
Slice – In Command – Backlash Wave – Wind Scars –
They’re So Cute – oh and HALT!!!
And that’s just the tip of the
iceberg. More than likely, you’d be pulling out
defense cards like They’re So Cute and Deal With It
because it is late and you need to get all the
attacks you can before you end up decking yourself
because you already destroyed your initial Inuyasha,
Bodyguard so you can’t replenish your deck…How very
sad…
A downer with this card is that it
doesn’t protect Kagome. I mean, in reality, if you
actually got your hands on this thing, you probably
have the Kagome promo along with it that we’ll
review tomorrow (that one has the Inu-Kagome
Protection thing), but this Inuyasha doesn’t have it
like the Bodyguard does…
I see this working in Inu. Groups
famously, and I’m guessing that’s exactly where it
belongs. I can see some other combos too, but come
on…Regen Halts, My Heros, Deal With It’s, and
They’re So Cutes cry out Inu. Group…
Constructed (Inu. Group Deck)
– 4.5/5 – The First effect is what keeps it
from being a 5, but if it wasn’t there, this
card would be insanely broken. Still, it’s worth a
tech; especially if you’re running effective discard
searching.
That does it for Inuyasha, Seeker of
the Shikon Jewel. If anyone has any questions or
