Renkotsu, Member of the Band of Seven
The third card of the week, Renkotsu. I don't really
like this card because it's only...well there are
better cards out there. Rearranging the cards from
the opponent's deck isn't that great. Eh...you could
use something else, even though he does have decent
colors for his deck cost. Plus, you won't always
have 2 or more characters with Band of Seven all the
time.
Casual Play: 1.5/5
Tournament Play: 1/5 I really doubt you'll see him
here...
Band of Seven Deck: 1.5/5 Not really worth being
there...but belongs there anyway
Art: 1.5/5 Eh...I never really liked this guy

Well starting out, another deck cost of 4, again,
par for a BO7 character,
with a 7Black, 3Red, and 5Purple. Not spectacular,
but stable, and decent
for the cost. Now, at the beginning of the turn, if
you control 2 or more
OTHER BO7 characters, you may look at the top 5
cards of your opponent`s
deck, place 3 of them at the bottom of his deck, and
the rest back on the
top in any order. Now, at first glance this may not
seem great alongside
the other BO7 members because they are usually about
bashing your opponent`s
face in. But this is a good form of control, it can
limit your opponent`s
options to what you want them to have, meaning that
your opponent will not
be getting those cards he/she needs to stop your BO7
blitz. Now true, the
third card they`ll draw for their turn will be
unknown and uncontrolled by
you, but that is only 1 card. The other 2 are not
only known to you, giving
you a chance to prepare for it, but were chosen by
you, so you will most
likely be prepared for it. A very good card in my
opinion if used
correctly. Just remember that for this to work you
need him and 2 OTHER BO7
characters out, so this will almost never be able to
work the first two
turns, but if you get this out on the second or
first turn, come the third
turn, you`ll be controlling your opponent`s draws,
and therefore, the game.
Combined with the Ginkotsu from yesterday you will
likely be able to get
this guy out quickly and keep him out. Do not
overlook this Renkotsu, that
card controlling can be a powerful mechanic that
will likely win you games.
Noob:4/5(Band of Seven, good colors, and an effect
that might help newer
players learn to play better.)
Tournament:4.5/5(I may be overrating this, but I
really feel that this
effect could be gamewinning if you can use it for
extended or even short
periods of time, and you use it wisely)
Art:3.5/5(I kinda like that monk disguise of his,
but this picture isn`t
anything aweinspiring.)
