This tourney was held on December 4, 1999 at a
place called Golden Memories in Mastic, New York. It was sanctioned. And let
me tell you, alot of good people play there. You've got Glenn Katzen(number
3 in the world), Jason Imperiale(number 10 in the world, Chris
Ramsdell(number 6 in the world), jesse hughes(number 7), and Tommy
Dilena(number 36). Also guys like Anthony Ezzo, Josh Navratil, and Kevin
Abrahms who are also in the top 100. But some of them weren't there. Only
the top 4 advance after 4 rounds. That sucked because they usually do the
top 8. Here's my deck.

Ok, here are the results.

Round 1: Me vs Jason Imperiale: Bad luck: He was playing Psychic and
Fighting

Battle 1: I got out some Magmars and Scythers. He got out a Scyther. After I
thought i was gonna kill his Scyther with a Magmar he all of a sudden gets
out a Hitmonchan and Mr. Mime. Everytime i would put down Electabuzz, he
would retreat for Hitmonchan and gust for my electabuzz and kill me. He
ended up getting all his pries while I had 2 left.

Battle 2: My Magmars kept killing his Scythers and my Magmars were slowing
down his Hitmonchan until he gets out a promo mewtwo and kills like 4 of my
guys in 8 turns. I kill his Mewtwo with Sycther. I have liek 1 prize left
and about to win. He was trying to stall so time would run out and he would
get the win. Just when I was about to kill him, time was over. He won.

Round 2: Me vs Michael Rastello: Good luck: He was playing Water and
Electric.

Battle 1: He gets out a Touros and Electabuzz. Pretty decent deck but he had
no energies. I killed like 4 of his guys. Finally he gets out a full blown
Articuno I gust for it and smokescreen successively. Hes down to 60. So I
smokescreen again. Then i bring out Electabuzz with a pluspower. After the
flipped heads I got my last prize. I won.

Battle 2: Same story. He gets out an Articuno with 2 energies I gust for it
and slash it but not before I played energy removal. He got his 2nd on him.
Then I slashed with a pluspower to kill him. I killed a Jigglypuff after
that and he was out of basics. I won.

Round 3: Gary Flood: He's prtty good. I beat him before and he beat me
before: He was playing psychic and fire.

Battle 1: I was getting scared because if I lost this one I knew I was out
of the top 4. He beat me last week. Well he got out a Gastly(fossil) and
Magmar(fossil) and I got out Scyther and Electabuzz. After killing his
magmar, he already had a full built Haunter. Damn't I hate Transperancy. I
finally ended up killing Haunter with my Electabuzz. He got out ditto and i
sent out Scyther. He kept swords dancing but I kept energy removaling him. I
killed it and he ran out of basics. I won.

Battle 2: I was feeling pretty good now. He got out Gastly and a bunch of
guys. I killed 5 guys and he didn't kill one of my guys. He all of a sudden
killed a bunch of my guys with Magmar. I ended up Thunderpunching him to
death. I win

Ok, I needed to win this next game and I was pretty sure that I'd be in the
final 4. If I lost, I would definitly not be in. I just hoped I wouldn't
face Glenn or Tommy. I knew not Jason because I already faced him.

Round 4: Andy ??????(Kauffman I think): He's not that good against me but he
beet guys like Glenn: He was playing fire.

Battle 1: He sent out Lickitung and a Magmar. All I had was a Magmar. It was
magmar vs Magmar. He poisoned me and I had 10 left. I was about to die, but
I drew a computer search and I searched for an oak. I got energies and a
bunch of guys. After my Magmar was dead I started killing with Electabuzz
and Scyther. After I killed him Moltres I got my last prize. I won.

Battle 2: He said if I started killing him at the beginning he would
forfeit.  He got out like 2 Moltreses and Lickitungs. After I killed the
Lickitungs he had a built Moltres. He killed my Electabuzz. Now I knew he
wasn't gonna forfeit. I sent out Magmar. I never smogged, I just
somkescreened 3 times because he would have to flip 2 heads in a row to kill
me. He got 1 head twice but never got the 2 heads. So after he had 40 left I
smogged with a pluspower and got heads. His Moltres died with like 10
energies on it. He didnt even get a chance to use wildfire. I didn't even
win and he got so frustrated that he forfeited. WOO HOO.

It turned out that I did make it to the final 4. The funny thing is that
Glenn and Jason made it and they are a team that splits their winnings. And
me and Ryan made it and we are a team that splits our winnings. This was the
only 3rd time I  made the the semifinals. It was weird because sometimes I
don't even make the top eight. I did better than Tommy for the first time.

Semifinals: Me vs Jason: Oh No!

Battle 1: He got out Hitmonchan with me getting out Scyther and Electabuzz.
I kill Hitmonchan with Scyther but he brings out Promo Mewtwo. I finally
kill it after it kills like 4 of my guys. Electabuzz has alot of damage on
it so he brings out Mr. Mime and he kills my last basic. He wins.

Battle 2: Ok I killed a whole bunch of his guys until I had 1 prize left. I
was about to deck myself. I'm about to kill his promo Mewtwo with Magmar but
he uses scoop up. He keeps scooping up. I just remember that I had used my
last gust of wind for one of his Scythers before. So I tell him when I had 1
card in my deck that I have 1 gust of wind left. It was either the prize or
card in the deck he thought. But I poisoned Mewtwo with a pluspower. Mewtwo
only has 20 hp left and I run out of cards. He wins.

Well I did pretty good. Surprised I made it when it was only top 4. Glenn
and Jason made it to teh finals and split the prize because they are a team.
I got third and my partner Ryan got 4th. We did good.
