Stupid deck name I know.
Anyway, today (12-21-99) I was at the Pokemon Leauge at Toys R Us in
Ventura, CA. There were about 30 people there, but 1/3 of them where adults
that were either trading or making sure that their kids don't get ripped
off. Another 1/3 were little kids that didn't know how to play or were just
trading. (I got a slightly dirty movie Electabuzz for a non-holo Venomoth
then traded it this other kid for a non-holo Hitmonlee) The last 1/3 were
PLAYING!
Anyway, for all those people who believe rainbow decks don't work, they do.
You just have to have the right types of Pokemon. And girls know how to play
too.
Here is my deck:

7 Grass Energy
6 Water Energy
5 Physic Energy
6 Fire Energy

2 Syther
2 Bulbasaur
2 Ivysaur
1 Venasaur
*Total: 25
~~~Trainer (I know I have few trainers, but I just don't get decks with 30
trainers...)
2 Energy Removal
1 Super Energy Removal
2 Energy Retriveal
1 Energy search
*Total 6
Total of all cards, 60
This deck is based on the fact that all the Pokemon excpt Buba-Evloutions
uses some colorless. Then any energy can be used. Then I would use Mewtwo's
energy absorbtion and get grass, then put it on Venasaur, and then put it on
others. It's as often as you like.
Anyway, I didn't know what to do so I started late. I played 3 games.
Anyway, you don't really win anything so it doesn't matter...
Game 1
Played a boy with Physic/Water
I had a messed up hand, with Electabuzz and Charmander and the wrong types
of energy... We flipped and I won. I drew an Eevee. I put down Electabuzz
and benched Charmander. I had no lightning energy so I couldn't attack. I
drew a Flareon and began to pump up Eevee. Electabuzz because I couldn't
retreat it. I had no energy on it because all of it (mostly fire) was on
Eevee and a ? energy was on Charmander. (He has a colorless attack) Then
Electabuzz fainted and I then sent out Charmander. I used scratch, I had
drawn a Bulbasaur and he was on my bench with 2 grass energy. He used water
gun and fainted me. (I'm weak) I sent out Bulbasaur and fainted Polywag,
then he sent out the bacic set Gastly (the worst card ever) I fainted that,
and then the Japanese Gastly that he sent out after that. I didn't know what
it meant but he had a translation: Pokemon Power: Every energy attached to
this Gastly his HP raises 10. Then he had a attack for 30 damage. (He never
had enough energy anyway) He sent out a Abra that was on his bench and
evloved it into Kadabra. He didn't have enough energy and couldn't attack.
Then I sent out a fully loaded Eevee and evolved it. I fainted it, and after
that it was a peice of cake. For 3 turns I would attach a fire energy (I was
lucky I had like all of them), then use Flamethower. I won the game...
Game 2
Played with the other kid's brother with Fire/Physic/?
I had a Mr. Mime and all energy (at least i had a physic energy)... I was
just about to wail when I lost the flip and we both turned our cards over.
He had 2 Moltres! He couldn't attack me... HEHEHE. Anyway, I used Invesible
Wall, and then meditated over and over until 1 was fainted and the other was
almost fainted he never used wildfire though he had like 4 energy on the
first Moltres... He benched a Fossil Gastly. When I fainted Moltres he sent
out Gastly and evloved it and then used his Pokemon Power. Then he put me to
sleep and I couldn't wake up first turn. Plus I was weak. I attacked once
for 10, then I fainted after 2 turns. Then I sent out Electabuzz that was on
my bench fully loaded and I took it out and flipped head, so Haunter
fainted. Then I wiped out two abra and something else I can't remember with
my Electabuzz for the win. (I didn't even like the card before I put
together my deck and now it's my favorite...)
Game 3
Played boy with Rainbow Deck (I only saw 1 of his cards put he told me)
I got my Electabuzz and wiped out Charmander and something else (I forgot)
and then the game ended because he had no bacics.
I won all three games!!!
So that was really cool, because I always thought Rainbow decks didn't
work... I didn't want a deck alot of people would have. But they do, and
they are really cool. My deck has many flaws, but at least it it good
aginist all decks... Oh yeah, I got a Promo Pikachu... It was for the
Pokemon Leauge and it was free...
Note: I know there are many better decks out there that would kick my butt.
