The tournement in which i played was held at Joe's and Bob's
Comic store in Philidelphia Pa. on Saturday October 2. There were about
16 people and it was five bucks to get in. It was in standard bracket
form 16-8-4-2-champ. Ok here is the report.
Round 1
I was playing some kid with a starter deck and a booster pack.
I put on my machop against his charmander. I gave two low kicks and a
pluspower and it was over he had no more basics.
I won.
Round 2
I played a kid with a electric deck. It was bad because
he had no electrabuzzes. I used my hitmonchan to beat the crap out of
his pokemon and took all the prizes.
I won
Round 3
I played a total colorless deck. It was desent with a
Chansey and Clefable and stuff but it was no match for my magar and
hitmonchan hitting him before he got anything decent out.
I won
Round 4 Championship Match
I played a great deck which was a charizard/blastoise deck.
It was extremley were made but this shows why my deck is good. He
started with a charmander and a vulpix. I held him off with a machop
until it died. I took 3 of his prizes and only lost 1 to him . He
then finally got his blastoise out with 20 damage on it. I attacked with
rattata and lost him. Used magmar and lost him and then used my
charmander to finished off his blastoise. ITs now 3 prizes to 2.
He sends out a charmander with I killed easily. With his final pokemon
magikarp I killed it with ember and won.
I win the tourney.
This whole deck is based on speed of killing which is why it is
effective. Its also very cheap the only expensive card is hitmonchan
which you can get in the Blackout deck anyway.
