Hey, I went to another tourney at Adventure Planet in Paramus, NJ.  Too bad
it's not DCI sanctioned.  Today really sucked because there were 59 people
there including several people i know.  Its the largest toureny i've been to.
 At least the prizes were decent.
First, heres my deck

Here's how the tourney went.  It was battling six times w/ the top six
advancing to the final eight.

Round 1: verse Ron M. with a raindance deck( too bad for him, i've only lost
to rain dance once ever.  He drew a squirtle and carp.  I drew abra, breeder,
poke center and the rest energy (i couldnt have drawn a worse hand)  Luckily,
i drew a pc search, and searched for alakazam.  The battle lasted kind of
long cause he got blastoise by turn 4.  But then i got a mime.  It was over
from then.  He finally kills mime w/ squirte.  I kill squirtles and karps. 
Later, we found out 1 gyarados was at the bottom and 2 were prizes.

Round 2 verses James ???? w/ potpourri.  He gets 2 hitmos and 1 buzz (lucky).
 I draw ditto and chansey.  I scrunch and energy removefor a while until i
get scyther.  I kill 1 hitmo w/ scyther and then he brings in buzz.  I double
edge and he is forced to use hitmo w/ no else on the bench.  So he kills
chansey.  But i use scyther and kill him.  He has no more pokemon

Round 3 verses Kristina wit a fossil raindance ( shes my frend too, that
sux).  I draw  a couple of gastlies and scoop ups and the rest energy.  She
puts down articuno as her active w/ squirtle on her bench.  After a couple of
turns i finally get a search.  I search for a chansey and i scrunch for dear
life.  After i get a scytehr adn alakazam its over.  Wiith prizes 4-1 she
gets a blastoise and rain dances.  BUt its too late.  I stick out a mime and
kill blastoise for the win.

Round 4- bye

Round 5- Martin Tamboni( ???) w/ a charizard deck i think.  But i never saw a
charizard.  i only saw vulpixes, magmars, and charmanders.  I killed them
fast.

Round 6-  Rick Thomas w/ HolyButtSlicer Deck.  He openmed w/ scyther.  I drew
crap.  I got 1 abra, 1 S.E.R, 1 gengar, and the rest energy.  i lasted a
couple of turns but he killed my abra and i finally lost b/c i had no more
pokemon.

Quarterfinals- verses Trish w/ a rain dance.  I open w/ a great hand.. i get
an abra, breeder, search, gastly, haunter, and energies.  I get a gengar
early and keep using dark mind.  I kill 4 of her pokemon before she gets
anythink good out (3 poliwag, 1 squirtle)  She finaly gets a blastoise and
Lapras.  After  2 ser i'm in control agian.  I get my bench charged up.  She
kills my gengar but i bring out ditto and kill her blastoise.  I then kill
her laparas for the win.

Semifinals- verses Kristina again(damn!).  I really dont want to beat her but
i want to win too.  She draws a great hand.  She puts squirtle and Lapras on
the bench w/ another Lapras active.  I put abra on the bench w/ scyther
active.  WIthin 3 turns i geta alakazam on the bench.  I slash for a while. 
But i finally let my scytehr die.  I bring out chansey and scrunch and
scrunch and scrunch.  The coin loves me today.  I got heads 4 times in a row.
 THat gave me time to get a gengar and charged up scyther and mime on athe
bench.  I retreated chansey and brought out mime and whooped some ass.  She
was forced to bring out Lapras .  I retreated mime and brought out Gengar and
used dark mind for the win.

FInals verses Richie.  I've never seen him play before but i heard he was
pretty good.  He used an awesome fossil electric deck w/ zapdos and raichu. 
I drew another crap hand (gastly, ditto, energy) he got a fossil zapdos. It
took a couple of turns for zapdos to get powered up.  i finally drew a
search, and searched for a chansey to stall.  BUt i kept getting tales on
scrunch.  About 5 minutes later, my chansey and gasly died.  He then killed
another gastly and ditto.  He killed 5 pokemon to me killing none. But i did
get a bit lucky.  I got a scyther out and killed 3 pokemon.  With scythr down
to 10 hp left. i scoop up-ed and brought out a alakazam w/ only 1 energy. 
After a super energy removal i killed his pikachu.  But he brought out a
raichu and did giga shock.  He did it 3 more times before i died and lost the
match.

For gettin 2nd, i recieved $10 and 3-1st ed fossil, 2 jungle, and 2 base
booster.  I gota gengar, hypno, kabutops, vileplume, mime, lass, and
electrode.  Pretty good.
