Wow, this week had alot of people attending comparing to the usual 10 or 15
that ussually show. Most of em' were lil' kids, however, who just made a
deck with their new Fossil Cards. The prizes were the same this week, $20
for first place, $7 for second place, and 1 booster pack for the top 8
people. The tourney was fairly easy, but I lost on a mistake of energy. I
*forgot* how many electric energy I had in my deck, so I send out a Scyther
with 40 damage out instead of a Zapdos with 3 energy. *kicks self*. Oh well,
here's the deck:
Cards that are in my Deck:
Pokemon:
Fighting Pokemon:
Hitmonchan-4
Hitmonlee-1
Aerodactyl-1

Geez, I hope I can remember exactly what happened in this tourney. I don't
know everyone's name, but I can remember their decks pretty well, at least.
Round 1- Homer vs. ??? with a Water/Electric/Psychic deck
This kid was pretty simple to beat. He has had a 4 game experience, so I
don't have much to brag about on this win, other than the fact that I killed
his Magmenite in my first hit with Hitmonchan. ^__^
Record of 1-0
Round 2- Homer vs. ??? with a Fire/Fighting deck
I didn't have too much to brag about here, because the game went down to 3
prizes each. Well, yeah, I should brag, because I only used Scyther the
whole game, and I took out his fire pokes such as Charizard (Yes, Charizard.
I Energy removed him twice and he didn't get any more energys until *after*
I killed it), Magmar, and Growlithe. I finally gust of winded out his Machop
and killed it for the win.
Record of 2-0
Round 3- Homer vs. Daniel T. with a Mono Fighting Deck
I was happy this round because the store owner made this the feature match.
We play each time. I pretty took care of him with Scyther and Zapdos. He
sent out Ditto against my Ditto. I didn't retreat, nor did he, as I was
pumping up my Hitmonlee for a rousing round of Hi Jump Kick. After the
match, I got slapped.
Record of 3-0
Round 4- Homer vs. Ross T. with my deck!
I asked him if he had a deck name. When he said "Boxers of Raiden", he
told
me that he was trying out a deck that he had gotten off the internet. I
explained the whole story to him and we started. He got *four* Scythers, and
all I got was Hitmonchan and Fossil.
I soon evolved to Aerodactyl. I did about 20 damage to Scyther before he
killed it. I sent out Aerodactyl and used pokéball. It was tails. I lost
that one. >.<
Record of 3-1
Finals-
Regardless of my 3-1 record, I made it into the Finals. The top 4 seats got
a 1st Ed. Fossil Booster, and the other 4 got Jungle Boosters. *kicks self*
I was at 5th place at that point.
Finals Round 1- Homer vs. ??? with a Rain Dance
Thank God for Aerodactyl. I stopped this deck dead in it's tracks with my
Aerodactyl. I stopped him from evolving Wartortle to Blastoise and Magikarp
to Gyarados after my fourth turn. I used Electabuzz and Scyther to destroy
his team in an instant. He didn't even get to draw a prize.
Record of 4-1
Finals Round 2- Homer vs. Ross T. with Boxers of Raiden
This was a dissapointing game. The game was Scyther vs. Scyther for 3
prizes, then it shifted to Hitmonchan vs. Hitmonchan. We both lost two
Hitmonchans , and it shifted to Scyther to Scyther again. I was powering up
Zapdos in the background, then he stalled me with a Super Energy Removal.
Thinking that I didn't have enough Electric Energy left, I didn't attach
another Electric to him. I had 2 Electric energy that I needed to attach. I
drew an electric energy, leaving me with the 2. I attached to him, but like
an idiot, forgot to retreat and send out Zapdos. I left Scyther out with 30
damage on him and lost the match. I had 1 prize left, too. Oh well, I'll get
him next week. ; )
