Hello. This is Hector Pacheco again. I am submitting my successful tournament
result. My deck is called "Fast-Paced" and it is a Grass-Colorless deck. I
hope you enjoy the report. My deck is listed below.

The Tournament was held at Just-In Sport Cards in Granada Hills, Ca. on
10/23/99. I'll be honest, there were only about 35 people there. The cost was
6.00 per person and the prize was a 50.00 Shopping Spree. It was American
Cards only, but it really doesn't make a difference now that all the cards
have come out. 5 Rounds of Single Elimination.

Here it goes.

Round 1 against Matthew something, I forget.
He plays an original deck to me, a modified Brushfire deck. He gets a
Charmander, I get a Scyther as actives. He goes first. He places Energy,
Scratches for 20. I place a energy and dance. He doesn't get another energy,
so scratches again. To my luck I get a Double colorless and kill his Char.
He gets a Nidoran and puts energy. Flips, but gets tails. I get another
Double so I put it on a Pinsir. I slash for 30 and he gets heads. Bye
Scyther. I put out Pinsir, put Energy, and wait it out. He puts a Weedle on
the bench and flips. Tails. My turn, put energy, kill Nidoran. He puts out
Weedle and does 10, no Poison. Then I kill weedle with Guillotine. He puts
out a no energy Char. and hopes he gets another basic. Sorry. Guillotine and
I win. 1-0

Round 2 Against Nick something, I'm not good with last names.
He plays a Water/Electric with all new Fossil cards. He gets an Articuno as
active again a low energy deck and draws no energy. I get out a Nidoran(F)
and a Scyther. Put out Nidoran, energy, and do 20. He does nothing. I put
down energy on scyther and attack with 10 from Nido. He gets a new Zapdos and
puts on bench. Does nothing. I put down energy on Scyther, and i get a Kangy
in draw, so I put it on my bench. I attack and do 30. He gets a Electric
Energy and puts it on Zapdos, again does no attack. I retreat Nido, put out
Scyther, and kill Articuno. He gets another Electric energy and puts it on
Zappy, but does nothing else. I kill Zappy after 3 turns of him getting no
energy except for a water and getting a Base set Zappy. He forfeits because
he is losing miserably, even though I want to continue. 2-0

Round 3 Against Steve
He plays a Raindance and gets a few Squirtles and a Magicrap. I get a Kangy,
2 Dc, a GoW, and some Grass energy. He puts out Squirtle and does 10 and
paralyzes me. I put DC on Kangy and wait. He does another 10 but does no
paralysis. I place another Dc and do 40. Weird, huh? Anyway, he sends out
Magi and does another 10. I get a Scyther, put him down on the bench, put a
energy on him, and do 60 to Magi. He sends out another Squirtle and
Withdraws. Tails. Ha. I flip and do 20 after I put another energy on Scyther.
He evolves to Wartortle and does 40. I flip and do 40. He faints. He puts a
Squirtle with no energy and Gow's my Scyther out. I do 30 and its his turn.
he places Energy and does 10 no Paralysis. I kill it and he has no other
basics. I win. 3-0

Round 4 Against ?
He doesn't show up and I win. Still I haven't seen any competition for my
deck.

Round 5 Against John
He plays an all Fighting deck. He gets out Hitmochan and Jabs my Koffing. I
see that and I retreat my Koffing and put out my Farfetch'd. He jabs but does
no damage. I put a Grass Energy and Leek Slap for Heads. Yes. He Special's
and does 10.  I Put Dc and do 30. He retreats and puts out a Machop. Does no
Damage. I get Scyther and put down on the bench.  I do 30. He does no damage.
I kill and he sends out Hitmo. He Special's and does 10. I kill Hitmo. He put
out a Mankey after I have a charged Scyther on the Bench. I retreat and kill
his Mankey with Slash. He sends out another Mankey, puts a Defender and
peeks. No energy. I do 10 Because of def. He Gets Energy and Scratches. I
kill Mankey and he has no other Basics.

So, I win and I haven't used the Shopping Spree yet. I have determined that
people have too little basics and too little energy.
