I went to a DCI Sanctioned Tourney at the Comic Stop comic shop. 22 people
showed up. It was in St. Louis MO. on Oct. 22.

Before I start Blabbing on and on about the tourney, here is my deck (so you
know what the heck I am talking about)

Pokemon: 15
4 Moltres (70 Hp is good and dive bomb takes out 70% of pokemon without any
negative effects besides flipping a coin)
3 NineTales (KICK @$$ POWER POKEMON
4 Vulpix
4 Magmar (Fossil) (Gotta have atleast 1 FAST pokemon)

Energy:28
28 Fire

Trainers: 17
2 Bill
2 Prof. Oak
4 Gust Of Wind (This is by far the #1 most helpful Card Ever)
3 Comp. Search (Gotta get cards out kickin butt by the fourth or fifth turn)
2 Plus Power (For Vs. Those pesky 90 hp lickitung, snorlax and kangaskhan)
4 Energy Removal

ok, now I can talk for days and days about every detail of all my trades and
games and purchases etc..... or I could just tell you about my tourney games.


Round 1- Vs Jason with a Haymaker
Jason had the EXACT original haymaker.
Game 1- I started with a vulpix, moltres and a magmar. he had hitmonchan and
scyther, chan out. I started to dominate early with magmar untill he finally
flipped a heads from smokescreen with special punch. then I did smog and got
heads. for 3 turns I had been building on vulpix, then I searched for an oak
for more energy and a ninetales... I got ninetales, 2 energy and trainers. he
took out magmar and I brought out vulpix. deciding I didnt want to waste an
energy I just did confuse ray with 4 energies. he came out with scyther,
fully pumped an did slash... EVOLVE, ENERGY WHAPOW!!! Win
Game 2-This was no contest, his super energy removals and energy removals
kept me from being ably to do anything but smokescreen and smog. I lost
Game 3- I had a lowly VULPUX and he had hitmonchan.... luckily, i went first
and confused him on the second turn. he couldnt get any attacks through, and
by the time I killed him I had moltres down. I tried with vulpix, and
confused scyther, but scyther got through and killed vulpix. When Moltres
came out, I only had 3 energy's and I missed a chance to attack. when I did
atack, I got heads and I killed him. Now buzz made his first appearance and
whooped on moltres, paralyzing twicethen doing thunder punch with no heads.
While I flipped all tails. I just did wildfire because I was gonna die and I
had 2 fully pumped magmars on bench. Magmar laid some MAJOR Smack down with
smokescreen, smog (heads) smokescreen. after the first smoke screen, he did
punch with tails, andafter the second smokescreen, with poison, he was dead.
he came out with anothe buz and killed my first magmar, but I got him
poisoned. then the second one came out and won the match for me.

Record- 1-0

Round 2 vs ??? with ???
This guy didn't show up (I think he took a Cr@p) and I got the win. I know he
stayed because I traded with him about 3 quarters through the round.

Record- 2-0

Round 3 vs Mike with a Electric Deck
Mike's deck was not the normal Electric... it was fossil Magneton, Electabuzz
and fossil Riachu.
Game 1- I got to draw 4 extra cards, because of mulligans. He came out with
buzz... I came out with............. MOLTRES!!! I got totally screwed because
I didnt get to attack at all this game.
Game 2- Oh my god, I totally cleaned up in this game. he kepd using self
destrusct and I won from flipping 2 heads with moltres vs buzz. this game was
D-U-M-B DUMB!!!
Game 2- Only had 2 poor little magnemites vs magmar... guess how this went?

Record- 3-0

Round 4 vs??? with rain dance
I bet you can guess. I gave it my best effort, but in both games, he came out
to fast with 4 blastoise, 4 comp search and 2 breeders. I managed to kill 4
pokemon one game!!!

Record- 3-1

I got into the final 8 but I had to leave becaue my dad came early with my 2
cousins
