Hey pojo this is Matthew bringing you another stellar deck. Unlike my last one
this has more pokemon and fewer types. I tried this deck out at Combinations
on November 28/1999. About 15 people showed. There were 2 groups. 7 in one 8
in the other. I was in the one with 7 and Stephen was in the one with 8. I
played a total of 3 games and the finals.

My deck is now called Invisible SolarFlame (Psychic, Grass, and Fire Deck)

Before the tournamnet we had a breifing that the Mew card comes to that store
on such and such a date. Everybody who joined the pokemon league gets a free
one. But it's on a first come first serve basis. I said I gotta get me one of
these and then I will change my deck to Psychic. Me and Stephen had a quick
game. He got lucky and got 2 Nidoran (m) 1 breeder, 1 nidoking and 3 plant.
All I got was Mr.Mime which was posioned and destroyed by Nidoking with
Toxic.2 turns game over I had no basics. The tourny began

Round 1
Me vs. Geredth(good water/plant deck) heh heh both of my strengths.
I got a very good first hand. I got Scyther 3 Grass, 1 Bulbasaur, Bill and
E.R. He got Shellder and Krabby out. Krabby his active.  He won toss. Went
straight for call for family and out came another Krabby. Next turn he layed
another energy under krabby. I layed down 2 energy under bulbasaur and got
pokeball. I had Ivysaur in m hand. So I pokeballed and got Venusaur.i layed
Ivysaur down on the bench. He used iron Grip but had 2 Krabbys on the bench. I
stick a plant under Ivysaur Evolve him Energy Trans to Scyther I bill and get
another plus power and added both plus powers for the KO. (Note Plus power was
picked with Bill and on first turn) He sent up his Cloyster to battle my
Scyther. I put an energy under scyther energy trans to Venusaur. Reatreat
Scyther bring the big guy up and take him out with Solar Beam. He sends up his
last remaining pokemon a lowly Krabby. Solar Beam. KO I win.
Game 1- 1-0

Round 2
Me vs. Steven (grass/psychic deck very dangerous)
We go at it. I pick up 2 Magmars 3 Fire, 1 Bill, 1 Plus Power. Drop Magmar as
my basic and other to the bench. He sends out a lowly Caterpie with a
Exeggcute on the bench. I give a slight chuckle as Magmar takes Caterpie out
in 2 turns. Up comes Exeggcute. And on the bench goes Gastly fossil. He uses
Leech Seed. I laugh and use mog and Exeggcute chokes and posions for the KO.
He sends out old Gastly which he picked up and uses sleeping gas. I am asleep.
I can't do anything except for retreat. I pick Doduo up. Lay him down and use
pokeball. Guess what I searched for. Get Dodrio lay him down reatreat aid.
Bring other powered Magmar up. Smog heads dead. I win.
Game- 2-0

Round 3
Either I sit out or play. I sat out and wanted to play again next round. So I
go to the store buy 2 packs of regular boosters see if I can use anything (
cheating of course) nothing really in their I need. My stars were Electabuzz
and Alakazam. Nothing I could really use.

Round 4
Me vs. Kevin Stokes (psy/Fi as I like to call his deck because he I a sci-fi
nut. He has Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee to stir things up and Hypno to attack
benched with Hitmonlee. I says hey bub not tonight)
The gods gave me a gift. I had just received my greatest hand I think. 1
bulbasuar,1 ivysaur, 1 venusaur 3 plant and bill. I layed Bulbasuar down. And
I got to go first. Plant down and I billed. Another plant and pinsir. I layed
pinsir down. He sent out drowzee. But had no energies. My turn. Dropped plant
on Ivysaur and leech seeded. 30 left. He still had no energies. I layed
Ivysaur and a plant down and used Vine Whip. Dead. He brings up Rhydon he
evolved then as he put him up and he used horn attack. I said I'll mess with
him. I use switch bring Pinsir out Evolve Ivy to Venusaur. Energy Trans
Venusaur to Pinsir guillotine Rhydon dead. He has Rhyhorn left,I recycle
switch. Switch with Venusaur and Pinsir. Energy Trans. Solar Beam dead. I win
on to the finals.
Game 4- 4-0

Finals
Me vs. Stephen again (again meaning since before the tourny)
He looked like he had the same hand. I wasn't sure but I had Bulbasaur,
Scyther, 3 grass, 1 DCE and Bill. I send Scyther out and use bill to get
Ivysaur and a plant. I use swords dance. He sends out Nidoran (m) horn hazard
he gets tails. I get another plant and I use slash with a DCE under Scyther.
Bang first prize. Very unlikly but it's Venusaur. I was happy. I layed a plant
on bulbs and evolved the dude. And slashed up his Scyther. He swords danced. I
plant energied Ivysaur. That makes 3. And I evolved into Vensuar energy trans
plant fom Scyther to Vensuar retreat Solar Beam dead as a door nail I win
tourny he had no basics left.

For winning first I got 2 packs (cheaps now they only give to first and
second) they use to give to first to fourth) I got another Kangaskhan and a
drum roll please the all mighty and elusive pokemon they call. Clefairy (woo
hoo)
