Pokemon Tournament
Name of the Game, San Diego, CA
November 27th

    I Went to my friend Will's house this weekend in hopes of placing high in
the pokemon tournament at his local store "Name of the Game" (NotG)  Afetr
failure with my Psychic Damage Transfer Deck, i decided to make a faster
deck, that would suit this tournament better, due to the high amount of
Haymakers, and the Lightning Deck thats been running around!  So, here is my
deck......

    Explanation - Scythers will do the most damage, with the use of plus
powers you can take out most any pokemon, Mimes are really good to use after
scyther slashes.  it will do more damage then Scyther will, and since Scyther
Retreats free, its easy to put in.  Dragonair kills opposing Mr. Mimes, and
help the cause of keeping energy low in the opponents deck.  most Trainers
are self explanitory.  GoW for getting Prizes, Plus power for extra damage,
Oak for cards, Computer Search so you can get an oak, or Double Colorless (or
anything else you need at the time)  now onto the tournament. (all arounds
have 3 games in them)

ROUND 1:  Vince, he was playing a Fire Deck!!! BAD NEWS FOR ME!!!!

Game 1:  Well the first game i got a pretty bad opening hand only getting one
Scyther, but i would recover only to have Fossil Magmar slowly eat away
either my Scythers (weak to Fire) or Mr. Mimes (dont got no HP)  after
Several Prof Oaks, he managed to beat me cause i couldnt keep my pokemon
alive long enough to do a lot of damage! ( 0 - 1)

Game 2:  This game i only drew 1 basic DRATINI!!!!  But i got an early prof
oak evooved into Dragonair, ad with some luck from my Trusy Vileplume coin, i
was able to avoind smoke screan enough to draw prizes.  the game got down to
the wire, but with NO cards left in my deck, i retreated Scyther, and put in
Mr. Mime to deal 4 damage to his Magmar and kill it!!!! (1 - 1)

Game 3:  I had a better opening hand but he got a better one, opening again
with magmar he killed off Scyther Rather quick leaving me vonerable and not
able to get prizes.  Although i kept his energy lowsmoke screen did enough
damage to kill off 3 of my pokemon.  From there Ninetales was able to take
out some others, i was having a little trouble with him, although i dont know
why ( i couldnt get energy Removal for Him)  and he went on to draw all 4
prizes! (1 - 2)  i have 1 match loss! (we go by points though)

ROUND 2:  SEAN!!!! AKA "999 hurley international"  (was given this nickname
when playing Will and was wearing a Hurley Shirt)

Game 1:  He was a lot easier for my deck, although he staklled with Chansey
using Sword Dance Effectivly made it harder for him to retreat OR Scoop up,
due to the fact i could easily kill his nect Basic, he made getting Prizes
very easy on me.  After Several Energy Removals i left him helpless with no
energy and let Scyther Run Wild and Finish off all of His pokemon. (2 - 2)

Game 2: This game was probably the worst game all day.  He stalled majorly
scooping up a 90 damage Chansey 4 times!!!!  Once again i managed to kill a
few of his pokemon, but when i killed off all of his pokemon that could
damage Mr. Mime, we sat thee till i decked him.  and since he had Chansey
out, i couldnt hurt him.  Normally you would have Hitmonchan come in, but my
Scythers could easily take care of them. (3 - 2)

Game 3: Second Easiest game all day.  i drew Scyther Swords Danced, he put
out Hitmonchan.  that wuz his only basic, so with a Plus Power i won second
turn! (4 - 2) I GET A MATCH WIN!!!! and went 3 - 0 that round!

ROUND 3:  NO!!! the dreaded Frankie!! 

Game 1: He was playing a REALLY tough Deck.  a semi Haymaker Deck with
Clefable and Lickatung, for dealing with Mr. Mime.  We both started with
Scythers.  he energy Removaled sooner and was able to get the first kill.
Afetr evolving into Clefable he klled 2 other Scythers, While Lickitung took
down all of my MR. Mimes.  he draws all Prizes and Wins.  (4 - 3)

Game 2:  Probably All Luck, he only gets Clefairy, i get Scyther, and knock
it out within abiut 3 turns.  He loses cause no Basics. (5 - 3)

Game 3:  another Long one.  But the fact his Clefables act as Scyther once
again killed off all my Scythers.  Also id like to note he used Miniamize
effectively.  After killing all the Scythers i had he used lickitung to kill
my Mr. Mimes.  He gets all prizes and wins. (5 - 4)

FINALS  There wuz a 3 way tie for the 4th spot in the finals, between Derek,
Du ( Frankies brother) and Myself  (Du tied to cheap his way in, but it
failed!)  Du play Derek and won, and then play me! We had a 1 game play off.

Game 1:  Du

He gets 1 basic i get Scyther and win second turn, easiest game all day (6 -
4)  i make finals!!!!!!!!!

FINALS playing for 3rd.  i thought i would move to play for first but a
change in rules didnt help my cause!

Game 1: I have to Face Vince again!!!!! no my worst nightmare!!!!!!

I managed to keeps his energy SO low most of the game he couldnt attack me!!!
 I killed off all fo his basic pokemon Magmar and all, and won the first
game!!! (1 - 0)

Game 2:  A win here gets me 3rd place

I had a much harder time on this one.  I got a lot less Energy Removals and
Smogs got my Scyther killed at the fastests of speeds!  My Mimes were
Worthless also, and he got all 6 Prizes!! (1 - 1)

Game 3: The Final Match

I got a great hand!  i kept his energy low the entire game and killed off all
Magmars and Final got him down to one pokemon.  At this point the music that
the TV show plays when Ash is doing well in a trainer battle began to play in
my head, as i plus powered and slashed his final ponyta away!  (2 - 1)  I GET
3 rd place and $6!

Props!

    Prop - To myself for getting Third place, considering how poorly i did at
the last tournament.
    Prop - To will for getting Second and almost beating Frankie
    Prop - To Scyther it claimed many pokemons lives
    Prop - to Frankie YES FRANKIE he traded me a Holo Scyther, hehe ( he has
many SLOPS comming though)
    Prop - the Owner Chris, he gave me cash instead of credit!
    Prop - 999 Hurley, for not making a deck that can win!  giving me a
vitory!

SLOPS!!!!!!

    Slop - Frankie was being a real jerk, saying how he would beat any deck i
played.
    Slop - Du, he was also talking Trash, although he couldnt belive it when
i beat him, hehe
    Slop - Du, Fro whinning  so MUCH about how we need to play more games, to
decide the Finals, BIG TIME SLOP THERE!!!!!
    Slop - Clefable such an annoying card, if used correctly
    Slop - Ash (in the TV show Pokemon) for losing the Pokemon League! what a
loser!  Slops to that Richie guy also!
