My brother Kevin and I (see his deck report in Psychic) played in a Swiss
Style tournament at the Press Box in Sandy, UT. We played 4 rounds.
Here
is my deck:
The Dirty Vile Haymaker:
Pokemon: 17
1 - Chansey
4 - Scyther
1- Kangaskhan
4 - Hitmochan
4 - Electabuzz
2 - Grimer
1 - Muk
Trainers: 21
4 - ER
4 - SER
3 - Plus Power
2 - Prof Oak
2 - GOW
2 - Pokemon Trader
4 - Bill
Energy: 22
1 - DCE
10 - Lightning
11 - Fighting
This is a haymaker with ability to keep Pokepowers at bay. I put Muk in
because so many people where I tourney use decks requiring Poke powers and
my brothers psychic deck depends heavily on damage swap.
Now the results. We played four rounds, best of three swiss style.
Round 1:
I played a kid with a well balanced fire and leaf deck. The first game he
came out with charmander and I had only Scyther...ouch. he scratched me
for
20 and I gusted out his Vulpix and had a fighting and DCE on sycther and
took him out in 2 turns. I ERed his Charmander and KOed him for the win.
The second game was similar but 'Chan took out his only two basics with
little damage to 'Chan.
2-0 me....(3 points)
Round 2:
The 1st kids brother; He had a leaf and water deck. His deck was
weak. I
won the 1st game by knocking out 6 un-energized pokemon and another by
getting his only basic. He needed more energy in his deck.
4-0.....(6 points)
Round 3:
My brother Kevin; He plays this awesome damage swap deck. When we
play at
home we usually go 50/50, but not today. 1st game - Kevin gusts out my Muk
and kills it with promo Mewtwo. His Alakazam is out and he decks me by ONE
card!!!!! 2nd game - The game went forever! He got 'Kazam out quick
again
and Muk didnt come out till late. By then he was up 2 prizes on me and the
bell rang so he won.
4-2.....(6 points)
Round 4:
Chris and his bird deck; Sorry, but this was the easiest win of all.
Buzz
came out and toasted all his birds. He had a Jiggly puff that was a little
annoying, but with that out of the way with a couple slashes from scyther
(between sleep sessions thanks to Puff) it was dead and his birds were
cooked.
6-2.....(9 points)
This deck is meant to have Muk on the bench with the Haymaker cards doing
damage.
Props - To Press Box for feeding us pizza and great prizes...I won a booster
pack for 3rd place and everyone
who played got something.
To Chris for playing a bird deck that was fun to fry
To my brother Kevin for giving me the best challenge of the day
Slops to "evil" Kevin another kid named Kevin who is way too annoying
for
his own good.
Thats my killer deck...please post this with my brothers deck
