Dear The Pojo,

I have created a deck that is designed to trick your enemies. The Trickster
Deck! Sorry if the name sounds kind of cheesy, but the deck is good. I
competed in a tournement at neutal ground in Mountain View on July 24.
Here's the deck.

15 water energy
10 fighting energy
1 double colorless energy
3 poliwag
2 poliwhirl
1 poliwrath
3 seel
1 dewgong
2 staryu
1 starmie
3 eevee
1 vaporeon
1 sandshrew
2 rhyhorn
1 rhydon
4 gust of wind
4 energy removal
1 super energy removal
3 plus power
1 switch

This deck is called the trickster because of all the ways to trick your
opponent. The 4 gust of winds, the energy removals, sandshrew's sand-attack,
poliwhirl's amnesia...
Okay, here's what happened at the tournement.

Game 1 Me vs. Peter Shapp (psy-lightning)
This guy was good! He had kadabras and zapdoses suronding me. I gust of wind
him and bring out a beat up zapdos and knock it out with poliwhirl. Then
comes kadabra with plus power and there goes poliwhirl. After that he had 1
prize left, and I had about three. Then I sent out out rhydon (resistance to
electric) then then I ram with a plus power and kadabra's gone. But then
porygon changes Rhydon's weakness to electric and Zapdos destroys Rhydon.

Game 2 Me vs. some cheating freak with a haymaker
I lost, but then this guy had about 80 cards, 12 of them which were plus
powers. I told the people who ran this thing about him but they didn't care!

Game 3 Me vs. Fire deck
I start with staryu, he starts with ponyta active and charmander on bench.
He goes first and puts an energy on charmander. I knock out ponyta. He
evolves charmander with a breeder into charizard. I deal 40 damage to
Charizard. He adds an energy. I super energy removal him leaving him
energyless. I slap for 40 again. Next, he gives up.

Game 4 Me vs. another fire deck
The trickster deck is really losing it's theme. I slap his charmander with
plupower and the game ends.

Game 5 Me vs. Grass/fire deck
This game ends pretty fast. First I have a poliwag, evolve it on the next
turn, then evolve it again. At the time poliwrath was fully pumped, it had
only 20HP. I used all 4 E.R. and whirlpooled until the end.

Game 6 Me vs. My cousin w/grass water deck
This game was the hardest game that I won, even though his deck was cheesy.
It starts out with poliwrath against gyarados. After I knock out Gyarados,
bellsprout comes out and kills poliwrath. The staryu creams his bellsprout
and then an eevee dies. Staryu ran low on HP so I evolved it and recovered.
Then I star freezed to the end.

Well, I won 4 times and lost twice, although one guy cheated.
This deck is good for trickery. Grass is it's main weakness. The poli's, the
rhinos and the shrew will fall to hell against grass.
