I participated at Noble Collectibles, in
Albuquerque, New Mexico there was 42
participants. Heres what happened.
Round 1: I played a mono-grass deck with 4 Venusaurs!!! The owner was a guy
named Jimmy. He started out with a Venonat and I started out with a
Charmander I killed venonat in 2 turns and he didn't have anymore basics an
easy win for me. I won!!!
Round 2: I played a Fighting/Fire deck that was pretty descent mostly
just
all the same basics I have but some Hitmonchans his name was Stephen. I
started out with Vulpix, but I had a Ninetales in my hand and his Hitmonchans
didn't stand a chance. One of my Ninetales died and i needed one more
prize
i sent out another Vulpix and confused his magmar for 10 he tried to attack
and hit himself for 20 then i switched and brang up jigglypuff and killed his
magmar. I won!!!!!
Round 3: I played a Raindance deck I wanted to just give him the win
right
off the bat but i didn't want to be a wimp. His name was Adrian and
he was
an awesome Pokemon player. He started out with a squirtle and i
started out
with kangaskhan i put down an energy his turn he did the same then i got
magmar put an energy on him. His turn he used Pokemon Breeder, Blastoise and
hit my guy for 60 i got another energy put it on magmar then fetched, he
killed my kangaskhan and lets just say he killed the rest of my guys. I
lost!!!
Round 4: I played a guy named Joseph he had a psychic/grass deck. He
started
out with an abra i started out with a jigglypuff i just demolished abra. He
then brought up an abra with 2 energy on it and pokemon breeder alakazam, he
didn't do nothing so i put down a doublecolorless and a wigglytuff and hit
him for 60 but really it didn't do anything because of his dang pokemon power
but i kept at it and finally killed alakazam but he confused me and i had 60
damage on me. He brought up some drowzee i killed it and i switched
and took
care of the rest with Charmander. I won.
Round 5: The match for 3rd place His name was Greg he had a haymaker deck but
with no hitmonchans so i say it was a pathedic haymaker deck he didn't
deserve to be in the 3rd place match. I started out with Charmander
and
killed an electabuzz with charmander because he didn't put energy on him but
put energy on a pikachu (what was this guy thinking)he brought up a jungle
pikachu and hit me then he put 10 on vulpix smart but i just retreated and
brought up magmar and flamethrower he died he ran out of basics. Running
out
of basics is the worst way to win i think they should redo the rules cuzz its
horrible running out of basics.
