I just got back form a tourney. It was at Fuddruckers in Killeen,TX on
8/29/99. There were 31 contestants and I got 2nd (my first tourney too =] ).
It was 412 to enter and if you made top four you could get three 1st edition
Jungle boosters or six unlimited edition jungle boosters (I chose the six).
Ok here is my Wanna Be Haymaker!

The Tourney -
The tourney started with everyone going 5 rounds. If you win three your in
the finals (It was a DCI sanctioned tourney =] )
Sorry I dont remeber much of their names but here....

Round 1 vs. John -
We play through the game he oaks 3 times i ball 4 and oak 2. I deck myself
but It looked like he had too many cards. So the judge counts them and it was
ONLY 56 =] I win !!!

Round 2 vs. ??? -
He isnt in my age group but I had to fight him and he has scyther. I had a
hitmonchan  out but he is destroyed..I end up killing one scyther but he
beats me =[  
1 W - 1 L

Round 3 vs. ??? -
1 round win =] I get to go first he has only one basic and its ratatta , I
have hitmonchan out. I put an energy down and jap which kills him ( Ratatta
is weak to fighting)
2 W - 1 L

Round 4 vs. Nathan -
Another short game....I have hitmonchan out he only has a mr.mime , I win in
2 turns.
3 W - 1 L

Round 5 vs. Johns Little Sister -
she is playing a water deck (thats all I saw that she got out). I start with
elecabuzz and slowly take out her water pokemon.
4 W - 1 L

Im in the finals !!!!
Finals

Round 1 -
I dont have to play this round because i got a round 1 buy or something like
that. I automatically get to go to round 2 without battling.
5 W - 1 L

Round 2 vs. Nathan -
He starts with gastly and me hitmonchan. I cant attack or retreat because
gastly has resistance and I have no benched pokemon. I almost deck myself but
I finally get heads and im awake. I kill off his haunter,gastlies and
jigglypuffs for the win.
6 W - 1 L

Round 3 vs. ??? -
I can loose this round and take 3rd for the prize but 1st is better =]  He
could of beat me but he gets a crappy hand and my hitmonchans and farfetch'd
(with help of Super energy removals) win the game.
7 W - 1 L

Round 4 vs. John (the guy that had 56 cards) -
He fixed his deck and well....he won. I would of beat him and got first but
out of the whole game I only get 5 energy and they get discarded by energy
removals on me =[
Oh well....second is cool I guess for my first tourney.
7 W - 2 L

I take home 6 boosters and get NO holofoils!!!! Everyone else did but me >=[
I got Vaporeon,Vileplume,Wigglytuff,Venomoth,Kangaskhan, and Pinsir. Im going
to another tourney next saturday on fort hood. Will post the results!
