The tournament was held at a Comfort Inn in Sandusky, OH, April, 16.  41
people showed.  It was a round robin style type tournament.  You played 6
battles, and recieved 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. 
You and your oppenent were paired up compared to your current record.  If you
won you recieved all the cards from the Gym series 1 set.  Jap cards were
allowed but all the cards had to have black sleves on them.  On with the
battle.

Round 1
Me vs. Sean Devlin
I started good and so did he.  About turn 10 he had a full bench with a
Snorlax out and I had Hitmonchan with special punch.  He evolved his Kadabra
into Alakazam and kept swapping damage around his bench.  But 80 damage to
swap around your bench is hard to do.  Eventually Snorlax died and most of
his benched pokemon were on the brink of death.  Hitmonchan rolled through
them all.  I won 6-0.

Round 2
Me vs. Jacob Lindberg
This guy was good.  I started of with Hitmonchan and no fighting and he had 2
Dittos.  He went first and jabbed.  I went and drew a fighting and jabbed. 
He went oaked twice and item finded.  He laid down a dbl. colorless and plus
power and killed chan.  No bench I lose :-(

Round 3
Me vs. ?????
This was like round 2 except for different pokemon and I beat him.  We played
a fun game afterwards and I won that one.

Me vs. ?????
This one is sketchy.  I don't remember much except that I won fast.

Round 5
Me vs. Andre Gomez
He was a really cool 10 year old.  We had talked earlier.  Now on with the
match. 
He matched me move for move.  I'd energy remove he would energy remove.  I'd
gust he'd gust.  It came down to the very end he had one card left with a
Hitmonchan out, I had a jigglypuff out with no damage. He had one prize I had
two.  It was his turn and he laid an energy on chan.  He knew he needed the
kill or I'd retreat and he would deck himself in two turns.  He laid a plus
power down and computer searched for another plus
power......................IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!  He attacked and my turn.  I
passed he had no cards and decked himself.  I WIN!!!!

Round 6
Me vs. Dan Gugliemino
I took an early lead with 3 prizes to 6.  But after that I went down hill. 
His Electabuzz destroyed my pokemon.  His promo Mewtwo's energy absorption
totally made me energy removals worthless.  I ended up losing 2-0.

The final standings.......

I ended up getting 8th overall and 3rd in my age group(12-14).  I got a $15
shopping spree on anything they had there to sell.  I bought 2 basic boosters
and 2 jungle boosters.  I pulled out a Blastoise, C.P.U Search,
Holo-Vileplume, and nonholo-Pinsir.
