Hey Pojo! What's up? Anyway, here's Alexa again, with my new deck,
simply called......drum roll please...... Gengar, Buzz, n' Mewtwo!

GENGAR, BUZZ, 'N' MEWTWO:

Pokemon: 17

4 Electabuzz - Love that attack cost!
2 FO Zapdos - Bench damage is good.
3 MP Mewtwo - Need I say more?
3 FO Gastly - Need it for Haunter, okay basic.
3 FO Haunter - Transparency is good, need it for Gengar.
2 Gengar - CURSE!

18 Trainers:

4 Bill - Bill!
2 Oak - Oak!
2 CPU Search - Searching for any card......duh...
3 SER - Slow down your opponent, all these trainers are
self-explanatory, so I'll stop......
3 Gust of Wind
2 Switch
2 Scoop Up

25 Energy:
12 Electric
13 Psychic

STRATEGY: Use Buzz and Mewtwo to get an early game advantage, while
evolving to Gengar and building up Zapdos. Pile on bench damage with
Zapdos, and Curse it around with Gengar to kill those Abras and other
30-40 HP Pokemon before they can evolve for some quick prizes. Mewtwo
covers Buzz's weakness to Fighting, while the ghosts cover Mewtwo's
weakness to Psychic.

I got to the Pokemon league late, and had to spend about 20 minutes
buying and trading for what I needed. I didn't think that I'd get the
two final Buzz I needed for the deck, as they were $7 Canadian each, and
all I had left was $6. But, I luckily traded one of my Nintendo Power
Mewtwos for @ Buzz, so I was up and running!

Match 1 vs. ? with Haymaker
He started with two Scyther against my lone Electabuzz. I went first,
and Thundershocked, with paralysis. He attached an energy to Scyther and
said go. I played Mewtwo on the bench and attached another Electric to
Buzz and Punched for 30. He attached to his benched Scyther. I played a
Psy on Mewtwo and Punched his poor Scyther to death. That's all I
remember, except that he had no energy pretty much the whole time, and I
beat him with Buzz and Mewtwo.
Match Record 1-0

Match 2 and 3 vs. Stephen with Fire/Fighting
I won the first match on my second turn with Buzz. However, Match 2 was
different. It dragged on for about 20 minutes, until I finally won with
my Mewtwos.
Match Record 3-0

Match 4 vs. ? with Clefable's Haymaker
I started with an awful opening hand. Gastly, Zapdos, and 5 Psy energy.
Ugh. He beat Gastly with Scyther, and brought out Clefable against my
energyless Zapdos. He killed it with ease. All I had left was a lone
Electabuzz, and you can guess how the match ended.......
Match Record: 3-1

Match 5 vs. My brother with Water/Fighting
I don't remember this game too well. I had Buzz out, and had to keep
Punching away at his numerous Lickitungs while SERing his Articuno. It
took a while, and I was scared for a sec when he played Hitmonchan. But,
I readied Mewtwo and Gusted out his 'Chan, grabbing an easy prize. I did
the same for his Seel, and won in the end.
Match Record: 4-1

Match 6 vs. Matthew with Energy Trans.
I started with Buzz (again). He was building up for a Venusaur, so I
Gusted out Ivysaur and Thunderpunched it for 30. But he Switch it for
something which I forget, and started to attach to Venusaur, which made
him an easy target for some SERing. I removed 4 Energy from Venusaur,
and beat down on all his remaining basics with Buzz. I won, and finally
got my Holo Mew, in only the second week of the promotion! Sweet! I also
got a Dark Charmeleon in Top Deck. The Team Rocket art is really good,
in my opinion, really good and worth the wait. Agood day.
FINAL MATCH RECORD: 5-1
