"killer leftovers"

Yes, that is the name of my deck, and with purpose. You see, This deck was completely out of my brother's leftover and unwanted cards.  A while ago, I decided that I wanted to begin playing with and collecting pokemon cards. But after I never pulled any holos from about 10 booster packs I gave up. But after my brother got really in to the tcg I decided I wanted to get back into it. So, I joined the pokemon league at Shoeless Joes(10 minutes from my house). Well, there's one minor problem: I don't have any cards!!! So, that is how my deck became "Killer Leftovers". Here it is:

Pokemon
Dewgong x2
Seel x3

Round 1 vs Jordan (my brother) with promo mewtwo/scyther/electabuzz deck

Jordan is my younger brother (by 2 years[he sent in the sponge deck]) and i'm not ashamed to say I lost to him because he's won the league competition 2 out of 3 times and has never lost on prizes to anyone. Anyway, I got an opening hand with a Kangaskhan and an abra.
I chose Kanga and left the abra in my hand. I kept using fetch trying to stall until I got a kadabra. When I did, I put the abra on the bench and evolved it the next turn. He ko'd Kanga with mewtwo and I brought out a fully charged Jynx ko'ing his mewtwo. He proceded to slowly massacre me in about 25 minutes (no time limit) by using bills, oaks, GOWs, ERs, SERs, and just about every other trainer possible as i drew only two trainers the entire match. The final standing was that he beat me on prizes, 6-2.

#2 vs. keith with mime/ghost/clefairy deck

This kid had a pretty good deck, but he just played it wrong. In the begining, I put out  kanga, and he a clefairy. I went first and stalled for a while as i built up a bench with Jynx, Mewtwo, and Dewgong. He was limited to using sing as i ER'd him 3 times. I eventually used comet punch a few times getting just one head each time. He must have had 3 or 4 potions in his hand as it took me 4 tries to KO the clefairy and draw a prize. After that he really made some stupid moves. He put out a mime against my Jynx  thinking that the 40 damage of meditate (with weakness) would be prevented. I told him to read the text . "oh, man". I swear he was trying to lose 'cause he played unpowered base mewtwos and some more clefairys in favor of a gengar and fossil haunter he had on the bench. His last desperation was a lass that made him discard an energy retrieval and a super potion as i let go of one potion. The match ended when I Ko'd one of his mewtwos with a dewgong. 6-1, on prizes.
                                                            1-1

#3 vs. Bobby with fire deck

This game started with each of us drawing colorless pokes on our first turn. I stalled with 'puff as he kept flipping heads with his eevee's tail wag. In the meantime, I powered up a seel and evolved it to a dewgong. Then, i retreated puff and brought out  'gong, Immediatly knocking out the evee, and two growlithes. I knew that he was good and was surprised that i was beating him so easily. Things were going great but then he brought out... vulpix. that doesnt seem that bad, and i was sure it would be no problem, but he got lucky and confused me. I proceded to do myself damage for three straight turns. My almighty dewgong was almost gone! So far he had all the luck in this match. Then i finally flipped heads on my turn and, bye, bye vulpix. After that, he brought out an eevee, evolving it to flareon and finally KO'ing my 'gong. I brought in a fully pumped Jynx and meditated, doing 20. On his turn, his flareon did 60 damge to my Jynx, leaving him with 10 HP left.
I took a while contemplating what i was going to do on my turn. hmmm. I noticed that he had no pokes on his bench and that i would win if i could KO his flareon, which had 50 HP left. This was cool... I slapped pluspower on Jynx and meditated for 50. YES!!!!!!!! His jaw literally dropped.
                                                            2-1

#3 vs.????(don't know his name) with fighting / grass deck

I really wanted to beat this guy. Right at the begining of the match, he said, " we're just gonna play to 3 prizes, I want to get this over with and get my last 20 points for my boulder badge."  What??? Well, he had actually just finished off winning the league tournament that I was eliminated from in the first round (My brother got beat by a fighting deck because his only pokemon was a 'buzz), so he had reason to be confident, but it still made me mad. Anyway this game started out with him putting out a bulbasaur and benching a pinsir and another bulba.I put out mewtwo and benched a Jynx. I had first turn, and a very good hand. I attached one psi energy to mewtwo and oaked. I finished off the turn using energy absorption. The mewtwo was fully pumped. On my next turn, I psyburned knocking out bulbasaur. On his next turn, he brought out his pinsir, but it didn't have enough energy to attack. I proceded to psyburn and he used guillotine to do 50. On the next turn, I Ko'd the pinsir. After that, he brought out another bulbasaur and I quickly knocked it out to draw my last prize.
                                                              3-1

Aha, I have proved that you can win with almost any cards (well...). So there, you no longer have any excuse not to play in tounaments just because you don't have an expensive deck with Blastoises or Charizards. If you are a good player and a good deck builder, than you can do it!
