And my B-Day was 3 days ago


This was a very cool tourney,  it was a tag team tournement.  It was too
bad that my friend Kevin couldn't be here.  So I teamed up with a 7 year
old Boy who had just started the league, but had a lot of cards and no
deck.  30 minutes before the tourney started I helped him improve his
newly bought Blackout deck.  He ended up with this deck ( we dropped all
the water stuff for electric, because alot of people were using Rain
Dance ):

  The rules for this tag tourney were that you sat diagonally from your
partner and the turns went in clockwise order from the team with the
highest combined dice roll (highest dice roll from that team went first)
and went like 1 person, our team, then 1 person their team, then ours,
then theirs, then repeated.  You could attack any opponent.  We had to
only kill 1 opponent .
Heres the three round tourney results:


Rnd 1.  Our team (now called the unstopables) vs 2 kids with identical
psychic stall decks. 

He took care of the only basic 1 of them played, a Chansey, with a
Hitmonchan,  but not before they had knocked out all his pokes but
Hitmonchan.  This was a quick match.  About 10 min.


Between Rounds

We scouted the other decks in the tourney and they were almost all stall
decks.  One team had another pair of identical 1 Fossil Moltres and 59
Fire energy stallers.  Some team had not worked their decks out to
compliment each other.  1 was playing an AeroMew deck, and the other was
playing a Rain Dance deck.  I told my partner whose name was Sam how
these decks ruined eachother and we had a good laugh.  Thier were a
total of 12 teams and 5 kids useing Rain Dance.

Between rounds

We bought some boosters. He got 3, I got 1.  In my 1 Base Set booster I
got a Holo Blastoise!  He got a Charizard, Imposter Professor Oak, and
an Electabuzz!  He was really happy when the store offered him 6
boosters of Base Set and 6 of 1st Edition Rocket.  He took the offer and
did even better.  Getting another Base Charizard and a 1st Edition Dark
Charizard holo, and a Nidoking!  I traded him 1 of my 5   1st Edition
Dark Blastoise and a 1st Edition Jungle Flareon and Jolteon for the 1st
Edition Dark Charizard.


Finals: The Unbeatables vs the pair of Moltres Stallers.

Before the match i told Sam not to draw any cards if they didnt get a
basic.  I then explained how the Moltres Stallers worked and then he
agreed to not draw any extra cards during the whole game unless it was
the begining of his turn.  We decided to let me handle the attacking and
him try to paralyze with Buzz.  We went first.  I started with a Jiggly,
Wiggly, 3 Psychic energies,  an Abra, and a Squirtle.  I played Abra as
my active and benched Jigglypuff and Squirtle, because of Abras free
retreat cost.  Then I played a Psychic energy on Abra and Psyshocked for
10 damage and paralysis.  Then the kid I paralyzed passed.  Then it was
Sam's turn and he played a Lightning energy on his Electabuzz and
Thundershocked the undamaged Moltres for 10 and paralysis.  Then the
other kid passed also.  Then I evolved Jiggly into Wiggly and played the
Water energy I drew on him.  Then I Psyshocked the same Moltres as I had
before for 10 and no paralysis.  Then the kid I attacked Wildfired Sam
for 1 card,  a Hitmonchan.  That was no loss.  Then Sam Thunder Punched
the Moltres I had attacked for 40.  Then Sam got Wildfired again for a
Hitmonlee.  Then I Psyshock the Moltres with 60 damage on it for the
win. Game, Set, Match. 




We each ended up winning 1 box of Team Rocket each.  Not a bad prize
for a $5.00 tourney.  We both got a Dark Charizard Holo, and I got 2
Here Comes Team Rocket, and 1 Dark Blastoise were all I can remember.
