This is a deck I have recently played at the Gym Heroes Pre-Release Tournament.  It is a pretty fun deck for me, and it faired pretty well.  Over at D.K. Hobbies, most of the people play Haymakers.  Some of the best kids there played Dark Muk decks.  (as far as I know, every one who played a Dark Muk deck placed)  While most of the players here are good, there are a few whom I battled that I wondered if they ever saw a Rulebook for Pokemon, much less read one.  Anyway, enough about that, here is the deck:

Energy Blaster

3 Psyduck
2 Golduck
3 Seel
2 Dewgong
3 Dratini
2 Dragonair
1 Lapras
2 Lickitung
1 Kangaskhan

1 Super Energy Removal
1 Nightly Garbage Run
2 Computer Search
2 Energy Retrieval
4 Energy Removal
2 Bill
2 Gust of Wind
2 Super Potion
1 Imposter Professor Oak

2 Double Colorless Energy
22 Water Energy

Sorry that I didn't report all of my matches.  But, then again, that would have taken too long.  I am writing this nearly a week after the tournament, but I remember enough.  Anyway, on with the tournament report.

Round 1 vs Little Kid whose name I don't remember
This kid was playing Haymaker, but he didn't know too many of the rules, which slowed down my match.  He was able to tear through Psyduck and Seel with Electabuzz, but once Dragonair and Lickitung were out, I easily wiped him.  He played so many Professor Oak that he decked himself, and I won.
1-0

Round 2 vs annoying kid with Eeveelution deck
This guy was hard.  He played an Eeveelution deck with all the evolutions.  I never got the cards I needed soon enough.  But, like many a more times I was to find out, Lickitung saved the day by stalling long enough to claim a win.  I didn't really like decking to win, but a win's a win.
2-0

Round 3 vs Andrew
Andrew is a very good friend of mine who came along with us to the tournament.  I knew he was playing Haymaker, and I figured I'd be no match for him.  I started with Lickitung to his Electabuzz.  The play was brutal, we wound up tied at one prize each near the end.  I promoted Dragonair to his Hitmonchan.  After a couple Hyper Beams, I K.O.'d him with Slam for the win.
3-0

Round 4 vs kid with Gyrados deck
Note that this was not really my Round 4, I had a few matches before that.

Now this kid was pretty confident in himself.  He had Misty's Seadra in his deck, which kind of scared me, but not until we started the match did I realize how easy this would be.  This kid seemed like he never read a rulebook in his life.  Anyway, once I had Dragonair on board, he lost most of his Energy and I easily found a win.
6-1

Round 5
Note: same as above. This was not really my match 5.

This kid had some kind of deck that I have never seen.  I started with only Lapras in my opening hand.  I was wondering how long it'd last.  It sat out there and beat 5 Pokemon before getting K.O.'d. Then I sent out Dragonair and finished him.
7-1

Second to last round vs Jonathan
Jonathan is my brother, who I knew was playing Psychic.  To make a long story short, Lickitung and Dragonair quickly finished him.
10-5

Last round vs Newman
This kid had won every one of his 35 matches except for one, and I was last on his list.  He started with a Grimer as open and two on his bench.  I started with Psyduck.  He qiuckly finished that after evolving into Dark Muk.  He then K.O.'d two more until I got Lickitung out and finally K.O.'d his Dark Muk.  Time was called and he had fewer Prizes, so he won.
10-6

So my grand total for the day was 10-6.  I didn't place, but I don't care.  In my two packs I got Erika's Dragonair and Brock's Sandslash for my rares, plus some other cards I liked.

Alright, time for Props and Slops.

Props to:
my dad for taking me at 6:45 a.m.
my deck, espicially Lickitung and Dragonair for doing so well

Slops to:
every person I battled who didn't know the rules
the kid with Misty's Seadra who was a jerk-off
two of the judges, who knew jack squat
