The Ultra Happy Deck

Hello all, Footitch here hittin you up with another
deck report. I'm using the same deck as before (1
modification) and I would like to say before I start
that I got a lot of email asking me if I'd trade
cards, I will NOT.  I do not trust people to trade on
the net, and if you want the cards badly, go to ebay
or your pokemon league or something.  Ok, on to the
report.
There were 15 (exactly) participants, and the prize
was a Gym leader theme deck along with 4 boosters.
Here's the deck in case you dont know already:

POKEMON:
4x Electabuzz (1 was a sweet holo fake)
4x Scyther (Rocket will show up in grass decks)
4x Ditto (reminds me of chewing gum)

TRAINERS:
3x RSA (2 words: Hand disruption)
1x Narrow Gym (Or is it Small Gym? I forget...)
4x Bill (Reminds me of the president, take 2 votes)
2x Prof. Oak (I abused this card once and it almost
cost me a game, so I replaced one with Narrow Gym)
2x CPU Search (Has anyone looked closely at the art?
It's cool)
2x Item Finder (I just love this card.  It causes
stress in my opponents)
4x Pluspowers (These should be made illegal Pokemon
drugs, and I'd see to it that they were if I didn't
love em so much :-)
4x Energy Removal (Sometimes, I close my eyes and
imagine Pikachu being sucked into the vortex)
3x Super Energy Removal (Sometimes, I close my eyes
and imagine my opponent being sucked into the vortex)
3x Gust Of Wind (These REALLY mess up
raindance/wiggly, if played correctly)

ENERGY:
15x Lighting NRG (No, I put it in the deck for my
health.  People emailed me and asked me what they were
for and why I had so many ?:-)
4x DCE (gets scyther going faster, and lets ditto do
those heavy attacks quicker)
1x Full Heal Energy (I HATE BEING PARALYZED!!!!)

The rules were a little different than last time, you
just grabbed someone and dueled, after everybody
dueled 3 different people, the people with the most
points go to the finals. You got a point for each
prize card you drew. You also got standard league
points for dueling and winning. Unfortunately I have
nothing to work towards at the moment.

1st opponent: Steve with Raindance.
I had an interesting opening hand: 1 electabuzz, 2
thndr nrg, 1 small gym, 1 rsa, 1 ditto, and one dce.
I put down buzz as active and ditto on the bench, and
get to go first.  I draw a full heal energy, attach
thndr to buzz, put down small gym and shock without
paralysis.  Oh yeah, he has a squirtle active with
karp on the bench along with another squirtle. He
goes, puts down a water energy on squirtle, and
bubbles for paralysis.  My turn, I draw another thndr
energy. I attach fhe to buzz (heheh!) and shock for
KO.  My prize, another RSA which reminds me to use
them.  He puts out karp, breeds on blastoise (I wish I
had remembered those RSAs) and oaks, and starts to
dance. He dances on 3 nrg to toise, ers buzz, and
attaches one water to karp, flopping.  My turn.  I
draw Pluspower, I attach thndr nrg to buzz, put +power
on buzz, and shock for another KO. I draw an item
finder as my prize. He goes, Hydro pumps for 50
(danced on 2 more nrgs) and passes. I draw an oak.  I
take a risk and Item find pluspower onto buzz. I oak
and get another pluspower also putting it on buzz, and
I thunderpunch, getting heads!!!!!!!! I win.
Unfortunately, I only get 3 points.
Score:
1-0-0, 3 points.

Between turns: I get my points and look around at
other matches that havent ended yet.  There was a kid
playing a Wiggly, another kid playing Selfdestruct,
and another playing mulli mewtwo using no remove gym
and chansey. My next opponent is... Ark! He came to
this league as well.  For those of you who dont know
who Ark is, see my last report.  He's still playing
the same deck, except now he says hes using promo
eevee and its lines instead of rocket eevee and some
other waters.  Oh well, he'll never learn.

2nd opponent: Ark with Eevee/Poison deck
This game I start with buzz as active and scyther on
bench.  He starts with (this is cool): A tr ekans
active, 3 benched eevees, a rattata benched, and a tr
koffing benched.  He went first, drew, put down a
grass on ekans, then oaked, and put a wide grin on his
face. He bit for 10, and then passed to me. I draw
thndr nrg, attach to buzz, and shock for paralysis. He
goes. He draws, then puts down a rocket version of
each eon on tp of the eevees, and attaches a water nrg
to dark vaporeon.  I think someone stacked their
deck...
I go, draw an RSA, and decide to see if he did.  I
look at his hand:
Oak, Fire nrg, electric nrg, dce.
Hmm... What do you think >:-)
D'oh! he says.  "I should've known you put that in
your deck.  Now what am I going to do..." He said,
giving himself away.  I SHUFFLE Oak into his deck,
taking about 3 minutes to do so, the whole time he was
shaking his head in his hands.  Then I attached
another thndr nrg to buzz, punch getting heads, and
getting a KO. I get a dce as my prize.  He sends out
Vaporeon, draws puts down a water nrg and laughs. My
turn, I draw CPU search, and then am rudely
interrupted by the kid with the wiggly deck who puts
his face in front of me and looks at my hand. I got
annoyed and told him off, and he went to another
person and did the same thing.  Anyway, I punched for
KO telling him that he should watch weaknesses. He
sends out Dark Jolteon, attaches lightning nrg and
thndr flashes.  I go, draw Ditto, put him down.  I
also put down a pluspower I'd been holding on to, and
prayed for 2 heads, my prayers being answered. THIS
ISN'T FAIR! He shouts as I draw my 3rd prize. "I'm not
getting one prize! I didn't get one during the last
game either!" I got bill. He goes, sends out dark
flareon, puts down a fire nrg and rages for 10 (he
acted out the attack the rest of the game as you might
guess). My turn. I bill getting 2 pluspowers (glad I
don't shuffle that well) and attach them both to buzz,
not wanting to take a risk, but getting heads anyway
whilst punching. Oh well, 4th prize, a thndr nrg. He
puts out rattata, puts down another eevee on the
bench, puts down a fire nrg, and bites. 50 dmage on
buzz... I go, draw bill, bill getting a thndr enegry
and item finder, finding a pluspower, and put a thndr
nrg on ditto. I puinched taking 10 dmage, and my 5th
prize. He goes, puts out eevee, Bites, and takes his
prize.  I put out ditto, attach pluspower, and bite
for 30 and win.
Score:
2-0-0, 9 points.

Between Turns: I traded with some people to get some
points and get a few extra cards in my collection.
After that came my last opponent, my good friend jack,
who was ahead of me in points (he had 11) so it was
neccesary for me to keep him from getting prizes.

3rd Opponent: Jack with Fire deck
You wouldn't know that a fire deck could do so well.
He had some gym cards in there, Blaine's Moltres and
TR's, so he was playing an expensive deck too.
Anyway, on to the match. I had to make sure he didnt
run out of Pokemon, so I could get all 6 prizes, while
at the same time I had to keep him from drawing any of
his own prizes.  I started with an active electabuzz,
with a scyther and ditto on the bench, and the rest of
my hand was: 1 thndr nrg, 1 DCE, 1 RSA, 1 Bill. Not
too bad, I had all my options open and this is
probably one of the better hands I've had after the 32
previous games I've played with this deck.  Anyway, on
to the match.  I went first. He had a Moltres active
and a Vulpix, Blaine's Moltres, and Rocket Charmander
on the bench. I draw an Energy Removal. I billed and
got Computer Search and another thndr nrg. I RSAed.
His hand was 2 Fire energy and 1 Energy Retrieval. I
destroyed the nrg retrieval and attached a thndr nrg
to buzz, shocking for paralysis. His turn. He draws,
bills, and puts down a Fossil Magmar, switches
Moltres, attaches a fire to Magamr, and smokescreens.
I draw Pluspower. I attach another lightin nrg, attach
DCE to ditto and decide to shock, and I get both
heads, paralyzing him. His turn. He Bills again, and
puts down Dark Charmeleon and a DCE on it, and passes.
My turn.  I draw a and attach a thndr nrg to Scyther.
I Pluspower, punch, and get heads, doing 50 damage
(its 10-50 right now). His turn. He goes, Energy
circles his fire nrg on magmar to his hand, then puts
it on Moltres and passes. My turn.  I draw Bill, bill
and get narrow gym and thndr nrg. I decide it would be
a good time to use cpu search, so I discard narrow gym
and thndr nrg and get a Gust of Wind. I am going to
hold it for the next turn.  I attach a DCE to scyther,
and punch, for my first prize, another RSA. He goes,
places moltres, draws and lays down a dark charizard.
Oh yeah, too good. He puts another Fire nrg on moltres
and passes. I draw SER and gow out dark Char. Then I
retreat and promote ditto. I Fireball, getting 2 heads
and discard my DCE. I draw my second prize: thndr nrg.
 He goes, places Moltres, attaches a fire nrg, and
profesor oaks. he dive bombs, gets tails. My turn.  I
draw another cpu search. I RSA away a No Energy
Removal Gym (I have no idea why he didnt play that)
and get prof oak, oak, and get: 1 FHE, 2 DCE, 2
+power, 2 thndr nrg. I attach 1 DCE to ditto hoping to
god he doesnt get heads.  He goes, places another
magmar (and a fire nrg on it) and dive bombs, tails
again.  He was using that stupid cardbard Aerodactyl
coin that loves to flip tails. I was using a 12 sided
die. I go, draw an item finder, attach dce to ditto,
pray, db, and get heads, with my luck I was almost,
but not quite, completely unsuprised. I get my 3rd
prize, another thndr nrg. He places Magmar, and
attaches another fire nrg to it, and smogs, with
tails. I draw GOW, place a thndr nrg on buzz, SER off
the nrg on magmar (I noticed Jack was the same color
as moltres when I did) and Smogged (sp?), also getting
heads. He goes, puts a fire nrg on blaine's moltres,
and passes. I go, draw ER, and you guessed it, ERed
the nrg off b's Moltres. I notice he was sitting
quietly, scratching his nose (which he does when he is
angry). I Smog, still no heads, and he goes.  He puts
another fire nrg on Blaine's Moltres and passes.  I
go, pluspower, and smog for ko, which was unnecesary,
as I got heads. 4 prizes... He places Vulpix (quite
obviously trying to stall, but doing a poor job) and
puts another fire on moltres... passes... my turn. I
retreat ditto, and place Scyther, put an nrg on buzz,
and slashed.  He went, placed another fire on moltres,
passed.  I knocked out Vulpix, and got my last prize.
The rest of the match went pretty quick.  He puts out
moltres, attaches a fire nrg, and pheonixs (is that
the attack? He was also playing with a Japanese card),
getting tails, drawing one prize, however he had no
more actives, and he lost.
Score:
3-0-0
Points:14 (he had 12)

Between turns: Somehow (and I think it had to do with
mulli mewtwo and selfdestruct deck) I was left with
the kid with the wiggly and the kid with the the mulli
mewtwo as finalists. We drew straws to see who would
battle, and the mulli mewtwo kid battled the wiggly
kid, and the winner would fight me.  I decided to
watch the game, but the wiggly kid made a big deal
saying I wasn't allowed to see his deck.  I told the
Gym Leader that he had interupted my earlier match,
and a lot of people backed me up on this, saying he
had done the same thing to them.  So everyone was
allowed to watch, and it was quite an interesting
match. He ran himself out of cards, but on his last
turn, payed the extra two cards to SER mewtwo, and
KO'd him with a Do the Wave and full bench.  The mulli
kid had no pokemon (I think he got all his points with
chansey to make it to the finals) so the wiggly kid
won.  He gave me a nasty look, and I took a seat where
the mulli kid had been, and proceded to this last
match.

Final match: Peter with Wiggly deck
He told me his name at the start of the match.  I
started with an ok hand (scyther out as active, ditto
on the bench) and he had a lone Hitmonchan.  Oh boy.
I go first, and I had the perfect hand for the game.
I put a thndr nrg on scyther, RSAed away his cpu
search and prof oak (the rest was nrg), and passed.
His turn.  He plays a fighting nrg and passes. I go. I
place a dce on scyther and 3 pluspowers, and slash for
the knockout.  HE WENT BERSERK. I thought I'd get
killed.  He banged the table and threw cards
everywhere and shouted and cussed until he was kicked
out.  Now, your probably wondering why I never told
you what was in my hand.  Well, I'll give you a little
game to play.  its a logic puzzle, if your really good
dont use a piece of paper, but you can if you want.
Read this match over, and think about what cards I
used.  If you cant do it, the answer is at the bottom
of the report.

The prize for the tourney was a gym heroes theme deck
and 4 boosters, as I stated earlier.  I chose the
misty deck, not knowing at the time I couldn't get
misty's tears in it (the original japanese one had it)
and I was curious to see what they did to the card.
In my booster packs my rares were Blaine's Moltres,
Erika's Dragonair, Lt. Surge's Electabuzz, and Brock.
Not bad.  And now it's time for...
