Sponge Beatdown v2

This is a Sponge deck, and you probally know how they work, so I don't have to explain much. This deck plays well against almost every Archetype, but encounters problems with Wiggly decks. Luckily I didn't encounter any Wiggly decks though. I try to get three Energies on MP Mewtwo on turn one with Energy Absorbsion. I had some trouble getting my Pokemon pumped up though. My deck was 23-0 before the tournament, and soon became 27-0. I was up til' 12 the night before, so I won't remember everything. Now for the single elimanation tournament.

It was a Rainbow deck with no trainer cards, so It had about 30 something Energies. The kid playing it was about 7. I had a bad hand, with 2 Ditto. I killed a TR Grimer, a TR Ekans, and a TR Zubat with my Ditto, then he killed it. I had a 'Buzz pumped up, and killed a Dark Machoke, Kadabra, and a Jungle Eevee. I won.

He's a very good player, and almost beat my Sponge deck. I was paying very little attention in this game, so I only remember the end when the game started to get serious. We were going back and forth, but I kept him high and dry with my ERs and SERs. I stalled with my Scoop Ups while I pumped up my Mewtwo, and Scythers, and removed his Scyther's energies. Near the end of the game I sent out MP Mewtwo and did 40 damage to 3 Scythers. Because he kept retreating those Scythers, I couldn't kill him. Then all the Scythers were damaged, so he had to send out a wounded Electabuzz, and I won. He had 4 cards left in his deck, and I had 6 left, and an NGR in my hand.

Sorry if I spelled his name wrong, but I never asked how to spell it. He was playing a good deck with Hitmonchan, Electabuzz, Fossil Magmar, Scyther, and Chansey. Luckily, I know how to beat Potpourri. We both got horrible hands, and I kept ERing and SERing him. We couldn't get any good cards, so we kept passing for about 6 or 7 turns. No cards were played in those turns. No lie! He Oaked and Billed a lot, so I thought I probally could deck him. I used all of my ERs, and SERs, keeping him from attacking. I had only a few prizes left, and my Mewtwo was pumped, and ready to attack, and had a 'Buzz on the bench waiting. I counted the cards left in our decks. Me- 13 Haito- 6 He sent out a big, fat Chansey to protect his energy-less Pokemon. Big mistake. I just kept doing 10 damage to Chansey, and he eventually decked.

He played a Legendary Birds Potpourri deck which was surprisingly good. His deck had Lapras, Fossil Articuno, both Zapdoses, Electabuzz, Fossil Magmar, and I don't know if his deck has any Moltreses 'cause I didn't see them. I started with Scyther, retreated for Ditto, and attached a DCE to him. Then I used his Electabuzz's Thunderpunch, doing 40 damage. I think he retreated the Buzz, and promoted Articuno. I put an energy and 3 PlusPowers on Ditto and used Freaze Dry. Oopps! I thought I had put my DCE on Ditto, and killed the Articuno. I made a mistake. He scooped up the Articuno, and sent out 'Buzz. I killed it with MP Mewtwo. I kept removing his Energies, and he only attacked 2, or 3 times. I killed the Articuno, a Zapdos, another 'Buzz, and a Fossil Magmar with Mewtwo. Then I gusted out a weak Electabuzz, and KO'ed it for the win.

Well, I won the tournament again, making that my 3 win out of 4 tournaments. I won 4 Team Rocket Booster packs, 2 Mews, 1 Holo Mew, 1 Prerealease Dark Gyrados, 1 Promo Eevee, 1 Promo Arcanine, and 1 Promo #1 Pikachu. Not that bad. I got a Holo Rainbow Energy, a Dark Charizard, Dark Machamp, and Non Holo Rainbow energy in the Rocket booster packs. I did pretty well since I'm only 11, and I play people more than 6 years older than me. Now I'm going to play Wiggly decks, because I'm getting sick of Sponge. Bye.
