There were about 25 or 30 people at the tourney. 1 loss elimination. Heres
the deck:

1 Rocket Ratta (get a prize, put on top of deck)
1 Clefairy (love that Metronome)
1 Clefable (lower cost)
2 Chansey (boo-yah! Not for Damage Swap and stalling)
1 Ditto (Transform)
2 Dratini (weak, but has a great evolution)
1 Dragonair (pretty strong)
1 Dragonite (100HP, and a good Poke Power!)
2 Slowpoke (kinda weak, but evolves)
1 Dark Slowbro (Check his Poke Power! Get three discarded cards! Pretty nice
attack too)
1 Mew (one energy and can do any amount of damage)
1 promo Mewtwo (Energy Absorption, and pump him up!)
2 base Mewtwo (Psychic is good, usually around 30-50 damage)
4 Abra (weak, but no retreat cost)
2 Kadabra (good Superpsy, low HP for a stage 1)
1 Alakazam (Damage Swap)
1 Mr. Mime (duh)
1 Poke Ball (gotta be lucky)
1 Imposter Proff. Oak (watch out for a look of confidince, then, ziiinngggg!)
2 Comp. Search (find it, now!)
1 Scoop Up (Alakazam gone, they got you, Scoop UP!)
1 Challenge! (great for any deck, thanks Rocket!)
1 Pokemon Breeder (for Abra to Alakazam, for Dratini to Dragonite)

Round one
Me vs. Colorless deck
Great, a hard deck first! I drew a Bill, three Psychic energys, Challenge!,
Mewtwo promo, computer Search. He sent out Dratini, I sent out Mewtwo, and
won the flip. I computer searched for a DCE, discarded two energy. Used
Challenge! and he excepted. I searched for Dratini, Clefairy, Abra, base
Mewtwo, Chansey. I drew a Dragonair on my first turn. I attached energy to
Mew2 and Energy Absorped to attach two energy. Long turn! He drew and
attached energy to Dratini and Pounded. I drew Clefable and evolved Clefairy.
I used Bill and got two energy. I evolved Dratini and attached the DCE. I
used Psyburn for 10. He drew, and pounded again for 10. I drew a Kadabra and
evolved Abra. I attached an energy to Clefable and burned for 10 more. He
drew and pounded for 10. I drew a Bill, used it and got Alakazam, and
Dragonite. I evolved Dragonair and attached energy. I burned for 10 more,
fainting him and got Chansey as a prize. He sent ou! ! t Clefable and I used
Dragonites Poke Power and Slammed for 80. I got Mr. Mime. He sent out Scyther
and used Swords Dance. I drew another Dratini. I Slammed for 40. He drew and
used Slash for 60. Too bad he had two energy the attack before. I drew an
energy and attached it to base Mewtwo. I Slammed for 40 more and benched him.

Round two
Me vs. Haymaker
I drew Mew, four Psychic energy and Pokemon Breeder. He won the flip and sent
out Chan as I sent out Mew. He used Jab for 20. I drew Challenge, but he
declined so I drew two cards and they were: Dragonite and DCE. I attached
energy to Mew and used Psywave for 20. He Jabbed for another 20. I drew
Dratini and placed him on my bench. Then attached DCE, and Psywaved for
another 20. He jabbed and got me out. I sent out Dratini, drew Dragonair, and
evolved Dratini, I then attached another energy and Slammed for 30. He was
gone and I got Clefable as a prize. Four KO's later I had Alakazam on my
bench, along with Clefabe, loaded, Chansey being swapped and Dragonite.
Alakazam was currently out and was facing a Machamp, and easy target. I
Confuse Rayed him for 60 and confused him. He was confused and was hurt 10. I
Confuse Rayed him for 60, and got the round.

Round three
Me vs. Rain Dance
This one got easy after I got Dragonite out there. He Slammed for 80 three
attacks in a row, leaving his Seels and Dewgongs out of service. I had only
one prize left. I then Slammed his Gyardos for 40. He Bubblebeamed me, hoping
for Paralisis, but I shook it off and drew a Chansey. I then used Computer
Search, discarding two energy, and finding Dragonair, I evolved Dratini and
attached a DCE and he was fully pumped. I Slammed again, but for 40 again. He
paralized me and took me out next turn. I sent out Dragonair and attached an
energy and Hyper Beamed him for the win.

Round four
Me vs. Eevee deck
I started out with Clefairy, and attached DCE, sung and put him to sleep, he
stayed asleep and I was able to Metronome his Jolteon's Pin Missle for 80. I
drew a prize and evolved Clefairy into Clefable in my next turn. He couldn't
attack so I Metronomed his Vaporeon for 30 on Water Gun. He then Quick
Attacked me for 10 and I Gunned him for 30 more. He Gunned me for 30 and I
gunned him for 30, benching him for the win.

Semifinals
Me vs. Zap kid (again)
If you read my article in September 2000, Zap! 8, you know who Zap kid is. He
reconized me and wished me luck. i drew Clefairy, Clefabe, DCE, two energy,
Dratini, and Dragonair. He sent out Mr. Mime. I sent out Clefairy and
attached DCE. I Sung him to sleep and he woke up after his turn. I then
attached energy and Metronomed him for 10. He then attached an energy. I
evolved Dratini and Clefairy, attached energy to Dragonair and Metronomed for
20. Oh, I drew Mew. He Meditated for 10. I attached energy to Dragonair, who
now had three. I used Minimize. He Miditated for nothing. I then attached
another energy to Dragonair, switched with Clefable, and Hyper Beamed for the
win!

Finals
Me vs. REEAAALLLYYY GOOD DECK!
This kids deck was pumped! After I had gotten four prizes, and he had gotten
two. He sent out Blastoise, and Hydro Pumped my Dragonair for 60. I Slammed
for 60 more but he took me out. I then sent out Dragonite, after using Poke
Breeder, and Slammed for 40. I took a Chansey as a prize. After the next few
turns, exchanging nothing between our Dragonites, I had Chansey fully pumped.
He switched Dragonite with a Pokemon he had been pumping full of energy, ever
since the start, Charizard. I used Slam for 40. He then took me out, no
sweat. I then sent out Chansey, the only Pokemon tough enough to handle one
Fire Spin. Alakazam was on the bench and I was able to switch five damage
counters on him, and two on Mewtwo, three on Clefable. I then came through
with a Double-Edge for the win. Chansey is the hero
again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I got twenty bucks, along with another Dragonair, Dratinis, and Gyardos in
the three packs I got for winning.
