Report - As everyone should know it was Prop 15 3-c rules. I played
in the
15+ division. I met a lot of folks from the various boards including Bill
Gill (Pojo), Tyais (PokeGym), and Michael Henry Brown(The Cleaner).
Overall
it was a fun day and things went smoothly.
Round 1 vs. Andrew Hoo (Wiggly Variant)
Andrew is from Florida and game-expo.com. Before the match Andrew and I
had
some cool discussions. We both work in the field of helping out kids.
Andrew wins the coin toss. It is his Jigglypuff versus my lone Growlithe
with 60 HP ripe for Do the Wave. Andrew sets up for Do the Wave next turn.
I am holding nothing but fire energy. Andrew knocks out Growlithe on Turn
3
and probably the quickest game of Round 1. I lose due to lack of basics.
We then play a fun match and are asked to leave by the judges so we didn't
get to finish.

Round 2 vs. Bill Gill (Dark Raichu deck)
Bill Gill a.k.a PoJo. What can I say? The creator of Pojo is in front of
me. Bill is cool. Bill is a parent that also plays for fun.
Bill was
using a Dark Raichu deck with Clefable, R. Zappy, and Scyther for support.
As soon as I see his Clefairy's I G.O.W. for the kills. Bill was able to
get one Clefable up and running. I took out Clefable with Chansey.
He then
had his Dark Raichu out. I electroburned Dark Raichu for the kill. I won
the game with my remaining fire Pokemon. After the match Bill gave me a
Pojosama Master Card. Thanks Bill your PoJo Jerseys were awesome!

Round 3 vs. Howard Lee a.k.a Poke Prince (Wiggly Variant)
Howard is the Gym Leader at Books a Million in the Chicago area. His email
is BAMGymLeader@Juno.com.
Howard was using a Wiggly variant with Misty's
Psyduck as a tech card and Guess what? It worked wonders against me. The
game went back and forth in prizes and with 1 prize remaining Howard flipps
3 heads on ESP to Electroburn my own Zapdos :-( How lucky is 3 heads? I
couldn't buy 3 heads if I wanted to.
Record 1-2

Round 4 vs. Alex Dragan (Haymaker variant)
Alex played with R. Zappy, Chnsey, MP Mewtwo, and Ditto Haymaker. I
stalled
mainly in the beginning with Magmar's Smokescreen. Alex was using SER's
even with my No Removal Gym out. That hurt! This game went the
entire time
limit and I won by Double-Edging his Ditto with 5 damage counters on it to
take my last prize.
Record 2-2

Round 5 vs. Maria Delaai (Electabuzz w/LT. Surge Raticate)
Maria was playing with another crazy deck concept that embarassed me. I
started with the worst hand: 2 Rocket's Zappy, 4 fire energy, and 1 Super
Potion. She won the coin toss and Thundershock for 10 with a Rattata on
her
bench. I pass. She then evolves into LT. Surge Raticate sets up and
places
a Chaos Gym in to play. She Hyper Fangs my R. Zappy. I use Super
Potion
successfully. She keeps on using Hyper Fang then ThunderPunch combo for the
win. Congratulations for an original deck.
Record 2-3
Points 6
Round 6 vs. Chris Sampson (Wiggly w/Dodrio Retreat Aid)
Chris was playing with the Retreat Aid combo to retreat his Wigglys and R.
Zapdos for free. What did me in was his ability to retreat to rid of
smokescreen. I was able to Double-Edge all of his Wigglies. Chris
ended up
winning though. This match also went to the time limit.
Record 2-4
Points 6
Round 7 vs. Ted Lahtinen (Wiggly w/ Dark Dragonair)
Ted is a fellow PEF member. I was able to get a quick start and take 2
early prizes by knockin out Dratini and Scyther with Arcanine. The match
then went into a stall. I was up with 2 prizes remaining with5 minutes to
go. Ted dropped 2 Dodrio's with Lightning weakness. I Plasma and
Item Find
for G.O.W.= win.
Record 3-4

Round 8 vs. Michael Brown (Cleaner Inventor)
I read my pairings before this match and think to myself: Is this I-Man the
inventor of the Cleaner? Sure enough it was. We talked real briefly before
the match and I told Michel that his Cleaner deck inspired me to make this
deck. I start with Growlithe and Arcanine and fire energy in my hand.
It
is his Ditto vs. Growlithe. We traded Flare attacks back and forth until he
scoops up Ditto. I evolve into Arcanine and Super Potion. I keep Flame
Throwing through his smokescreens and G.O.W. 2 50 Hp Koffings. I was
able
to build both Chansey and R. Zapdos on my bench to finish off his remaining
Pokemon. Its ironic that I started with Arcanine to attack then
"clean" with
Chansey and R. Zapdos. Good game Michael.
Record 4-4
Points 12
I was able to break even at 4-4 and grab 12 points in the process. My
final
ranking was at 110 with a resistance of 83.
