Hey pojo! This is my first deck report. The tourney that I went to was
held at Big B Comics in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on 02/13/00. I didn't
do the greatest, but thought to put out my deck and how it did anyways.
My deck is ENERGY ANNIHILATION.

This tournament was pretty basic. It cost $3 to enter, and the winner
gets 1/2 the money intake, 2nd gets 1/3, and 3rd gets whatever is left
over (all of this is store credit). There was about 22 people there. The
way we played is where we had three rounds of best out of three and the
top eight made it to the quarter finals. We were all playing for DCI
points in our badge books mainly, not just for the prizes. Here's how it
went. 
ROUND ONE game one vs. Daniel with a psychic/grass/colorless deck
It started out pretty simple. I had an ok hand. I only had dratini for a
basic, but got a dragonair, 2 energy removals, a dc energy, a poliwrath
and computer search. He started a jynx. He called the flip, and went
first. He laid an energy and said go (resistance). I drew a psyduck and
put it on my bench. Then I removaled jynx, laid a dc on dratini and
pounded. He then drew a dratini (lucky!), and laid a dc on dratini. I
picked up a golduck and then evolved. I then energy removaled his
dratini (he was about nine so he went "Aw man!") I then pounded. I
eventually knocked out his jynx with dragonair, he killed him, but I
killed him with my golduck and he had no more basics

game two
I started out badly. A hand full of pokemon. I had two psyduck, a
poliwag, a dratini, a ditto and two dragonairs. I started a psyduck (I
didn't want to waste a poliwag or dratini incase I got energy). He had a
jigglypuff out and a scyther and jynx on his bench. I kept drawing
pokemon. He kept killing pokemon. By the time he had 3 prizes left, I
finally drew an oak. So I oaked and got 4 water energy, a computer
search and a chansey and a dc. By this time he had out scyther with
three jynx, a jigglypuff and a mr mime out (he retreated jigglypuff
right away to get out scyther. I had a dragonair out with 60 damage, a
poliwhirl, golduck, ditto and psyduck. I put a dc on ditto. and said he
could go. He killed dragonair. I put out ditto (scyther) and picked up a
water energy and put it on ditto. Then I slashed. We slashed each other
a few times and I finally killed him. He then put out jigglypuff. So
ditto died because it's now jigglypuff. I put out poliwhirl. he put me
to sleep, and I didn't care. I drew a super energy removal (first of the
game!) I then used it on a suped up jynx on his bench (didn't care about
jigglypuff). I then computer searched for a poliwrath. Then I put an
energy on poliwhirl and flipped heads. This went on for a while and I
eventually killed jigglypuff with poliwrath, and got to draw four
prizes! But then he sent out suped scyther and slashed for sixty. I then
drew a removal and did it to his dc on scyther and did whirpool so he
had no energy left. Then he retreated to a jigglypuff and put me to
sleep. I couldn't flip heads for like 7 turns. by then he had a suped up
jynx that came out to kill him and then I lost.

game three
I started out a hand of gold. A dratini, dragonair, 2 dc, a ditto, a
chansey and a professor oak. I put out dratini. He had scyther out and
jynx on his bench. I went first and drew a energy removal, then put dc
on dratini and pounded. He the laid down a jigglypuff, and a dc and
switched with scyther, then he pounded. I drew a poliwrath and then
energy removaled his jigglypuff. Then attached a dc to dratini and
evolved. Then I flipped two heads with slam and he died. He put scyther
back out, and said to go. I drew another poliwrath and decided to oak. I
then got a poliwag, poliwhirl, computer search, golduck and 3 water
energy. I attached one to the ditto I had out and then slammed for
another sixty, and kill! He put out jynx and a psychic energy on him. I
then drew a dc and put it on ditto and retreated dragonair for ditto
(jynx). Then I meditated for fourty. Next turn he didn't get another
basic so I won!

ROUND TWO game one vs one of my best friends, Brandon, with raindance
that is pure water I started an ok hand. But I didn't really think I was
going to win because raindances are like an anti-energy denial deck. But
anyways, I got a ditto (the only chance against raindances) 2 super
energy removals, 1 energy removals, 2 dc, and a poliwrath. He went first
and started a squirtle with magikarp on his bench. He then bubbled for
no paralyze. Then I drew a computer search. I energy removaled his
squirtle. Attached a dc to ditto and paralyzed. He evolved into
wartortle and attached energy and said to go. I drew a chansey, put it
down, and attached a dc to ditto and bit him. He then evolved to
gyarados and blastoise. Then he put two energy on blastoise and hydro
pumped. I ended up killing blastoise before he killed ditto. But then
gyarados killed ditto, and I sent out a suped chansey. I then drew an
oak (thank god!) I first did super energy removal (the second in my
hand) and then I oaked. I got a lot of pokemon. They were a psyduck,
golduck, poliwhirl, poliwrath, ditto and two water energy. I laid down a
psyduck because I had a plan. I would double edge gyarados, then
hopefully get two heads for the win. I then double edged. He then killed
me and didn't get another basic. I put a water on psyduck, put down a
ditto (incase I didn't get heads twice) and flipped a heads, then a
tails. The last flip was nerve recking, but I got HEADS. I WIN!!! (Even
though I mostly beat him when we play at one anothers house, even though
I am weak to his type of play)

game two (this is where everything fell apart for me)
For this one, I got a dratini and all energy. Then to make a short bad
story even shorter and worse, he got out blastoise on turn two and
whooped dratini.

game three I got an ok hand again with a dratini, dragonair, poliwag,
poliwhirl, dc, a professor oak and a water. I put out dratini. He had
only one squirtle. He sent him out and attached energy, and bubbled. I
was paralyzed. I then put a water on dratini. He then evolved into
blastoise, raindanced 4 energy, then oaked. He then got a magikarp and
squirtle on his bench, and put three energy on squirtle, and one on
magikarp, then oaked again. He then put three more on magikarp, and put
another magikarp down. He then killed dratini. I put out poliwag and
evolved into poliwhirl to prolong death. Then I oaked. But he eventually
ran my pokemon down because I didn't have enough energy, and could only
put one down at a time. He eventually killed me with a gyarados because
I finally killed one blastoise. But it was too late.

After that round, the two of us (Brandon and I (because we went
together)) walked down to Taco Bell for a lunch break. When we returned,
we started the third round.  

ROUND THREE game one vs Tom with a potpourri deck
I started a bad hand. No energy, again! I don't want to go through this
again so I'll tell you the just of it. I got energy when he had two
prizes left. I then killed two of his pokemon but then lost to a mime.

game two I started with energy this time. It didn't help alot though. He
put out electabuzz, I had two psyducks. Another short one, guess what
happened.

Oh well, I still had fun. I think I made like tenth. My friend's
raindance tied for eighth but didn't make it in because of a coin flip.
At least I didn't mind losing too much. I knew that I probably wouldn't
do too well. I knew just about everyone left in because they were the
good players and I was usually there all the time and so I met them and
became friends. They always have tough decks. They are usually haymakes,
so when I play next week, I'll bring this deck again to try and counter
