First of all I will show you what is exactly in my deck. As you probably all
ready know the deck is called Viva la Resistance. Also my name is Jim W.

Viva la Resistance

Pokemon- 18

jigglypuff-4 (good attacks and needed for wigglytuff)
wigglytuff-3 (60 damage per turn for 3 colorless is bliss)
ponyta-    4 (can do 20 damage with a dce. needed for rapidash)
rapidash-  3 (hmm 30 damage and 50% chance of invincibility)
fossil magmar 1 (sweet against mime and various other pokes)
base magmar- 1 (not as good as fossil but is still good)
ditto-     1 (you have a movie promo mewtwo. its dead)
scyther- 1   (free retreat, resistence fighting, decent attack)

Energy- 22

fire energy- 18 (duh)
double colorless energy (dce)- 4 (duh)

trainers- 20

professor oak- 3 (gives me what i want, when i want it)
bill- 3 (kind of a gimme but 4 is to much)
energy removal- 3 (to screw with opponent)
super energy removal (ser)- 2 (to really mess with opponent)
computer search- 3 (if u dont use this u deserve to lose)
energy retreval- 2 (i dont run that much energy)
plus power- 4 (kill scyther, hitmonchan, electabuzz etc in one hit)

total- 60

ok now to tell u some history. just a little. where i play kids think it is
super cool to play psychic and grass. that is like all they play. and if
they play lightning or fighting it is because one kid there had a haymaker.
there were also about 3 raindances. I call my deck Viva la Resistance cause
it has resistence to psychic and i had just watched south park the movie.

Ok this was an official DCI tournement with 6 rounds off swiss. bottom line
is you have to win 4 or more matches to make final 8.

Round 1 me vs. steve

I started out with sweet hand of 3 jigglys, fire, dce, plus power  and prof
oak. its my jiggly vs his magmar. i go first. i pick up a wiggly. omg (oh my
god). i play my dce and do 20. he smokescreens. little does he know it wont
matter. i pick up sctyer. i play that play fire on jigg and evolve. i can do
40 damage but i play my plus power and kill his magmar. he brings out abra.
doesnt paralyze and i kill. i win due to him haveing no basics.

record 1-0

round 2 me vs. some tall kid with glasses.

im set cause he is playing a mono grass deck. he starts out with venonat and
i again get 3 jigglys. he goes first. he does 10 and paralyze. i play a fire
and say go. he does 10 and paralyze again. i pick up a ponyta and play fire
on it casue i have a dce and prof in my hand now. :). he does 10 and another
paralyze. i pick up my wiggly. haha. i play it no more parlyze. i play my
dce and oak. i get 2 removals. dont matter though. 2 plus power. fossil
magmar. rapidash and fire. i evolve ponyta. play magmar. and i can now do 50
for the kill. he brings out a nidoran male. i kill it. he brings out anoter
one. i kill it. he brings out scyther. i retreat and bring out fully pumped
rapidash. play plus power and kill it. he brings out tangela. last poke. i
kill it. picked up 5 prizes but he is out of basics.

record 2-0

Round 3 vs Chris

Chris was playing a deck that i did not want to play today. haymaker with
areodactyl. i played him before the tournement began and he killed me. i was
not in a good mood. well anyways this game was the longest but most easiest.
long story short his only poke that could do damage was electabuzz. i ended
up killing it and all he had left was a hitmo and 4 scthers. he should have
played them so fast. we go through a removing frenzy and i finnaly get out
my rapidash and kill his scythers off one by one. then wig comes in for the
finish. he never got out his areodactle so i was lucky. now for the catch.
on the sheet i marked i lost accidentally. i try to change it but it is too
late. CRAPPPPPPPP!!!!!!

record technically 2-1 (in my mind 3-0)

Round 4 vs. some kid with raindance

ok i know im screwed. im thinking since i marked loss i am never going to
make the finals now. there is like no chance i will beat a raindance. well i
get decent hand including dce, jigg, scther, plus power, and 3 fire. i play
my scyther out and jigg on bence. he starts out with a squirtle and magikarp
on bench. i go first. i retreat scy and play out jigg. add dce and do 20.
yes now he wont get his blastoise. he plays water and fails on paralyze. i
play a fire on scyther and do 20 for the kill. prize is wiggly. game is
over. he playes magikarp and evolves to gyardos to stay alive. i decide to
toy with him and do 20 after i play fire on scy. he goes and does nothing. i
pick up a ponyta. play it evolve and attach fire. i do 30.
he goes and plays articuno and plays a water on it. i pick up professor oak.
i attach plus pwer and then oak. i get a butt load of pokes, 2 fire eneregy,
and 3 plus powers. i can do 50 damage + 10 with pp. so i kill gyardos. he
playa another articuno and lays water on active. i add 2 plus powers. do 70
and kill it. he brings out last arti. i kill it in 2 turns and when cause he
has no basics.

record 3-1 technically (in my mind 4-0)

Round 5 vs fat @$$ kid with a stall deck.

Well this is what i found out was my weakness. alakazam. long storry short i
oak to much and deck myself.

record 3-2 (in my mind 4-1)

Final round me vs. some 9 year old.

Right now im thinking 2 things. one is if i dont win i wont make finals and
the mistake is going to screw me over. the other is this kid has 3 enrgy
types in his deck including fighting, and psychic.
well i start out with scyther. him 2 ryhorns. i play fire and say go. he
plays fighting and misses lear. i play dce and comp search for a plus power.
he is weak to grass so 70 damage ko. he brings out ryhorn. plays psychic and
misses lear. i oak. get a plus power and kill ryhorn for the win.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Record 4-2 (in my mind 5-1)

ok now for a recap. i am the sixth seed so i make top 8. the mistake didnt
effect me that much. now it is single elimination until we have a winner.

Top8 round. me vs. some kid in the elite 4 in the pokeleague

well here we go agian. he has alakazam. gets it out second turn. this time i
dont oak but only once. i am continually doing 60 with wiggly but he has
like 4 chanseys out and an alakazam and a scyther. well i kill 3 of his
pokes but with his gambleers, pokecenters, and gay deck i lose because of
decking.

Ok this is still decent. i win a pack of base2 cards. in it i get a bunch of
crap and a scoop up. im like crap but the other kid that lost traded me his
base2 gyardos for my whole pack. i do it in a heart beat. oh ya this tourney
was a success.

After the tourny i decided to take out my energy removals and i added 3 gust
of winds so i can kill abra before it evolves into a freaking alakazam.i
also took out one prof oak and added a gambler so i dont deck myself
anymore. u r probably thinking why does this kid only have one fossil
magmar, 1 ditto, and 1 scther. well because its all i got. if u have any
