Top Deck Games
Tulsa, OK
February 26, 2000
Only about 15 people showed up for the tournament today, so I know I'll have
an easy time. $3 entry, $10 for first, $5 for second (what a rip).
Before
the tourney I went to Toys 'R Us and reserved a copy of Stadium.

Game 1: Me versus different Austin with a Grass deck
He starts out with Oddish as active and a Koffing on the
bench. I start
with a Electabuzz. I go second (he attached a grass to koffing) and use a
ER, gust, computer search for Mewtwo, while conviently throughing away two
Psychic energy. Next turn I Oak, Switch Electa for Mewtwo attached a
Psychic
and the rest is history.
1-0
Game 2: Me vs. Sal with an Electric/Colorless
I was able to kill of a few of his pokemon, but his resistance to Psychic
eventually beat me out. No sweat though, with this few people I'll still
make the final 8.
1-1
Game 3: Me vs. Kid with no theme
My energy denial showed up full force. At the start it's my Buzz vs. his
Farfetch'd after farfetch'd's short life I killed his Buzzes and Hitmon's
(no, it wasn't an old school haymaker)
2-1
Quarter Finals: Me vs. Alex with Electric deck
Energy removal claims another victim. He gets out an Electabuzz and
manages
to do some damage, but not enough. After the match I check his grave yard.
I got rid of 9 energy and an Electrode (in energy form)
Semi finals: Me vs. Kid
The most PATHETIC game of my life. I get 3 psychic energy, two switches, a
mewtwo, and an electric energy as a hand. He gets out an Mr. Mime, Chansy,
and Clefairy. He has Mr. Mime active. Mewtwo can't touch him and
mime kills
him in to hits. Pathetic.
there you go.
