Hey Pojo.  On Saturday, January 29,  I competed in a tournament at Heroes
Unlimited in Roselle, IL.  There were about 20 participants but there was a
good amount of skilled players.  I won today with a new deck I played with
all psychic except for scyther and ditto.  First my deck then the report.

First round-against a little kid that didn't even know how to play.  I had to
teach him how to play the entire match and he kept saying what he drew.  I
tried to not beat him really quickly but all he got the entire match was a
weedle and a bulbasaur he eventually evolved into ivysaur.  After I oaked i
got 2 pluspowers to k.o. it and win. 

Second round-another kid but he had a movie mewtwo deck with Electabuzz and
he knew how to play.  I beat him without a lot of trouble and I knocked out
all of the movie mewtwos he put down with gusts or my mewtwo pumped up.  He
did have a pretty good run going but I removaled him about 4 times and
supered twice. 

Third round-a teenager (I think) with an Electabuzz, Scyther, and Ditto.  
This was a close match because for the first few turns he would draw after
his turn and when he used a trainer.  After I told him to draw only at the
start of your turn, he was down on cards because of using oaks and computer
searches.  I stalled him out by sitting a mr. mime out when he head already
used all of his pluspowers so he did 10 per turn then I scooped up or pokemon
centered.  I only needed 2 prizes anyway. 

Fourth round-Chris with a fossil Magmar haymaker with Scyther, Hitmonchan,
and Ditto.  This was another close match but I had what I needed to win and
he didn't draw well (I think).  He did gambler when he had like 2 pokemon in
play and I thought that I could bench him out but he flipped heads and I knew
that I was going to have a hard time.  The thing that I was surprised about
was that he was sacrificing pokemon when I thought that he would retreat or
scoop up.  I won by prizes and Chris needed 3 more but I had used all of my
pluspowers and his scyther had 30 on it so I retreated and k.o'd it with mr.
mime but I had done most of the damage with Mewtwo. 


Final Round-younger player with a electric and psychic deck.  I was confident
that I would win because he was playing Electabuzz, base set Gastly, Alakazam
and other weak pokemon.  It started out with me having a lone Mr. mime
against his Electabuzz and a benched abra and gastly.  He went first and
paralyzed me.  I oaked and got a scoop up, Scyther and Mewtwo.  I scooped up,
removaled and absorbed.  He put energy down and thundershocked but didn't
paralyze me.  I put energy down on Scyther and did 40.  He thunderhpunched
and did 10 t himself.  I laid down my mr. mime and laid energy on it and
knocked out Electabuzz.  It went like this for the next few turns me knoking
out a pokemon a turn until I took me last prize when he pokemon tradered an
Alakazam for a gastly and I gusted for it and k.o'd it with Scyther for the
win. 

I got $10 store credit and got 2 packs of base set, which I got a Chansey and
an imposter, and 1 pack of fossil which I got a holo Haunter in.  If anyone
