Hi, my name is Ervin Tormos. On 1/8/99 I participated in a tourney in Comic
Central which is in Cincinatti, OH. For the first time I would be playing my
Haymaker/Wigglytuff deck.

ENERGY:
9 Lightning Energy
8 Psychic Energy
4 Double Colorless

TRAINERS:
2 Scoop Up
2 Energy Retrieval
2 Gust of Wind
2 Plus Power
2 Item Finder
2 Computer Search
4 Energy Removal
2 Super Energy Removal
3 Bill
2 Professor Oak

POKEMON:
3 Electabuzz
3 Scyther
3 Mr. Mime
4 Jigglypuff
3 Wigglytuff

Ok, that's my deck. Obviously, its strategy is to get Wigglytuff out and do
the wave. I rarely have trouble with lack of basics or energy.
The best way to get Wigglytuff out is for your opponent to not see it
coming. You're in a great spot if you have a paralyzed Scyther out with a
Jigglypuff on the bench with an energy but in your hand you've got Oak,
Scoop Up, Double Colorless, Wigglytuff. Well on to the tournament. It's
usually 3 matches(4 when they need a final match)and person who wins 2/3
games wins the match. If you lose a match early the best you can get is
probably 3rd or 4th. This time it was 3 and I was ready to battle.

Match 1, Game 1 vs Brian

He has an all grass deck concentrating on Muk. This game I get my
Electabuzzes out early and start thunderpunching. I don't remember too much
but I think I won when he ran out of basics.

Match 1, Game 2

This time I got Wigglytuff out and he didn't see it coming. He hit
everyone for 60 and when he died another one was ready to do his worst. I
won fairly quickly by drawing all my prizes.

Match 2, Game 1 vs ?

I didn't get to see much of his deck because he ran out of basics
quickly but I would be guessing he was playing grass. In this game I got
Wigglytuff out in like turn 3 and killed his only basic-Bulbasaur. He
immediately puts down a Nidoran and I know he lost but he was much younger
than me so I let it slide and I won next turn anyway.

Match 2, Game 2

This game he only had 1 or 2 basics and I once again got Wigglytuff out
by turn 3(at the same time getting rid of about 15 cards). I energy
removaled any energy and quickly finished him off.

Match 3, Game 1 vs Ritchell

He is only 10 years old but he is GOOD. He gets in the top 4 almost
every time he comes here. His deck contains Hitmonchans, Scythers,
Electabuzzes, and Dittos so it's not easy to beat. We exchange prizes as I
get a few kills with Electabuzz and Mime when he comes back. Later, like
every game we play, I'm low on cards. I get a few Wigglytuffs out and
finally Do the Wave for the win(and after the win).

Match 3, Game 2

He wins the flip, I flip over Jigglypuff, he has Hitmonchan, energy, 2
Plus Powers, it's over.

Match 3, Game 3

Very similar to game one. We both get some kills with Buzz and then I
get my Wigglytuff out only to die to Hitmonchan. I kill a few more Pokemon
and go down to 1 prize and am looking at his bench with Hitmonchan with 60,
Scyther with 60 and I have a nearly full bench with a very low deck and no
energy. He tries to paralyze me with Electabuzz but fails. I scoop my active
Jigglypuff, put in Mime, give him the energy he needs, gust for Hitmoncahn
and kill him for the win.

    I ended up getting first with a Gym 1 pack(in which I got Electabuzz)and
I could have one of the Neo Families. I chose the Fire guys-I think
Hinoarashi, Magumarashi, and Bakufun or something like that.

Almost forgot-PROPS AND SLOPS

Props to Brian for losing in the first match and fighting back for 4th
place.
Props to Ritchell for being the good sport he is.
Props to Comic Central for hosting the tournament.
Slops to this boy that wouldn't shut up the entire tourney.
Slops to all the people that dropped out just because they lost a match.

Please email me if you have anything to say.
