Hey Pojo, Jake Reeder reporting another killer deck. If any of you have already read my past reports, you'll know I ghosts and dragons. They're the only pokemon (with a few exceptions) that have no weaknesses, but have resistances. My basic strategy is to start with a none psychic poekmon like dratini, to avoid resistance and build up my psychic pokemon with dragonair's help. In a way my deck is ready for almost any occasion. I have created another weakless deck in the grass/psychic section. Well, here is my revised Weakless deck:
Weakless
4x Gastly- No retreat cost, resistance to fighting, first turn attack that
has a 50% chance of paralysis
3x fossil Haunter- No retreat cost, resistance to fighting, and if he attacks
there is a 25% chance of him even being hurt
2x Genger- Dark Mind can hurt the bench and use curse to bring that damage back
to the active pokemon
4x Dratini- First turn attack and nobody has a resistance to him.
3x Dark Dragonair- Evolutionary Light speeds up the evolution process as far as
ghosts go.
1x Scyther- You're probably thinking he doesn't belong here, but I think he does
3x TR Rattata- He's slightly better than base rattata
2x Raticate- Pretty good for a stage 1 pokemon
24x Psychic Energy
2x DCE
3x Potion
3x Gust of Wind
2x Switch
3x Bill
1x Imposter Oak
Battles: At Books A Million, our gym leader puts up a reward if somebody can beat him. His only rule about battling him was that you had to win a battle before you could fight him. Since today there was nothing, but older trainers so it was obvious that I wasn't going to get his promo Mewtwo. Now here are the battles:
Battle 1- Me VS Greg (Haymaker)
For those idiots, who don't realize the advantage my deck has over Haymakers. He started with Hitmonchan and two machop on the bench. I started with a gastly and one gastly and dratini. I won the coin flip. Summary- I overtook Hitmonchan with Gastly by paralyzing Hitmonchan when he tried to special punch. I evolved dratini to dragonair and searched for Haunter after he evolved is benched machop. I nightmared machop, then I evolved to gengar and beat it. Unfortunatly he started on lucky streak, he evolved Machoke to Machamp after charging him up, then he placed a scyther. His Machamp almost beat Gengar, but i beat him with 10 HP left. scyther finished off Gengar, but lost to my dragonair.
Battle 2- Me VS Gym Leader (Damage Swap)
The promo mewtwo was as good as mine. He started with abra and Mr Mime on bench. I started with gastly and rattata on bench. I almost beat abra by paralyzing him first turn, but he evolved to kadabra. Even though he did this I beat kadabra. Then I beat Mr Mime by licking him twice. he never got another basic pokemon, so i won. It wasn't very abnormal that I beat the gym leader because he wasn't very skilled because nobody would battle him, since he was a gym leader.
