The tournament was held at toys r us in Attleboro, Massechusetts on June 24 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and there was about 23 kids there. I play with a haymaker deck, well, after getting beaten so many times by other haymakers, I've decided to try it myself, and man was it good. Well, here's the list of 60 cards in my deck

I got a fair opening hand with a fossil magmar, 2 fire, 3 plus power, and 1 ER, he flipped a coin and I called heads, and it landed heads. So I went first. Believe it or not, he only had an oddish as his only basic. I put down a fire and 3 plus power and did 50 to his oddish because of weakness, knocking it out. So with the lack of basics I won a 30 second game.

I got a opening hand of scyther, magmar, 1 DCE, 1 electric, 1 scoop up, 1 ER, and 1 scoop up. He went first. I had a scyther as a active and a magmar on the bench. He puts down a lapras, and 1 water, doing 10. I pick up a card, to my surprise, was a electabuzz. I put down electabuzz and placed a electric on scyther, since I couldn't use the electabuzz because it was just out. He went again, used water gun doing 20. I drew a electric, put down an electric on electabuzz, retreat scyther and put out electabuzz, doing 20 and paralyzing. His turn, he puts down a magikarp and attaches an energy to magikarp and then passes. I drew a card, it was a fire. I put down a fire on electabuzz and used thunderpunch, knocking lapras out without doing any damage to me. His turn, puts out magikarp and evolves into gyrados, and puts a water. My turn, I drew a GOW and I used thunderpunch doing 40 to his base gyrados. His turn, puts an energy and does 50. My turn again, I drew a ER and scooped up my electabuzz, put an DCE on scyther and did 60 because of weakness, and knocked out gyrados. He had no more bench so I won.

I got to go first and my hand was 1 fossil magmar, 1 electabuzz, 2 fire, 1 ER, 1 scoop up, and 1 bill. I used bill and drew a SER and a GOW. I put down magmar as my active and electabuzz on my bench. Placed an energy on magmar and did 20 to his tangela. His turn, puts an energy down on tangela and passes. He had a machop on his bench. My turn, pick up a card, a plus power, put down an energy on magmar and knocks out his tangela. Then, he sends out machop, places an energy, and uses low kick, doing 20. Then I used smog with a pluspower and with poisoning. His turn, sees that he can't win, so he forfeits, and I make it into the semi-finals!

Well, he went first, puts an energy on his articuno, I had a electabuzz as active and nothing else. Draw a card, yes it's scyther. Place scyther on my bench and uses thundershock with no paralyzation. His turn, puts another energy and passes. I drew a ER and used it on his articuno, then placing another electric on electabuzz and did 40. His turn, puts down a magikarp on his bench and puts an energy on it. I then draw a GOW. I used it and knocked out his magikarp before it can evolve. Then, he was grumbling behind his hand, and then send out articuno and puts an energy down. I draw a SER, and just to make him mad, I put down a fire energy on electabuzz and used SER, then thunderpunch, knocking out Articuno. With no bench pokemon, I win and make it into the finals.

I got to go first in this battle, I place down a scyther and attaches a energy. He goes and puts down a hitmonchan as active and a hitmonlee as bench. He placed a energy on hitmonchan and passed. My turn, I gusted out his hitmonlee, placed a DCE and did 30. He then just powered up his hitmonchan for the next turn while I knocked out his hitmonlee. Then, He got a electabuzz, now I was worried that I might just lose because I had no more bench. He then sent out his hitmonchan doing 10 each turn for 2 turns as I knocked it out with a plus power on the second. He then sent out electabuzz with an energy on it, doing 10 with no effect. My turn I used ER and then did 30. Next turn, he couldn't keep an energy on electabuzz so he passes. My turn, I used slash with the help of another plus power, knocking electabuzz out. He had no pokemon left so I won the Tourney and went home happy.
