Regal Hobbies

Hi this is Robert Smith from Des Moines,Iowa and this is the deck that I used at the tournament on June 17th at Regal Hobbies in which there were about 30 participants that showed up. I call my deck Hot Jalepeno Potpourri which is a mix of Psychic/Electric/Fire pokemon. My Friend named Brendan France helped me out.

4x Movie Mewtwo (Energy Absorption make this Pokemon awsome.)

4x Fossil Magmar (Smokescreen and Smog take care of Scyther's)

4x Electabuzz (I just love Thunder Punch)

4x Bill (Draw 2 cards,thanks Bill)

4x Plus Powers (Knock out pokemon with lots of HP left)

3x Gust Of Wind (Gust out a pokemon and kill him)

2x Computer Search (Search for the trainers)

2x Item Finders (Get the Plus Powers back)

2x Professor Oak (Get out the trainers and pokemon)

2x Energy Removals (Get the opponent low on energy)

1x Super Energy (Then the pokemon can't attack)

This tournament was a four round match in which the person who won the best out of three matches will be in the finals for a chance to head to the SUPER TRAINER SHOWDOWN!!!!! I really wanted to get to the finals and win to get an invitation.

Potpourri vs Weird kid (Justin) with Grass/Wiggly Deck

This kid was just to busy yapping his head off saying that his Pinsirs and Venusaurs would tear my deck apart.I won the flip so I went first.I had a Magmar, two fire,two electric,Electabuzz,and a G.O.W so I decided to start out with Magmar with Electabuzz on bench.He started with a Jiggly with Grimer on bench.I drew and attached a fire energy to Magmar and put Mewtwo on bench and used smokescreen.He drew and attached a colorless onto jiggly to used pound but got tails.I drew,attached psychic energy onto Mewtwo and smokescreened.He drew and attached a grass energy onto Jiggly, evolved and did the wave with heads.I drew and attached electric energy on Electabuzz, energy removaled Wiggly and smokescreened.He drew put bulbasaur on bench with a grass attached and lullabyed with heads.I fliped to see if I was awake and got heads,retreated for Electabuzz, attached fire energy onto Electabuzz and thunder punched with plus power to knock out Wiggly.The rest of the game for him was screwed because he couldn't get energy and I kept killing his pinsirs and grimers with Magmar and Mewtwo by gust of winding them out.

Me vs Kid with Raindance

He won the flip so he went first.I had Mewtwo out with Electabuzz on bench and he only had a Team Rocket Magikarp out with no bench.He drew attached a energy on Magikarp and used flop.I went and attached a psychic energy on Mewtwo,used C.S. and got rid of two psychic energies to look for a plus power, then used energy absorption to get the energies I discarded.He drew and put down a squirtle on bench and attached energy on to him and floped.I drew and attached an electric energy onto Electabuzz and psyburned to kill magikarp.He drew and attached an energy onto squirtle and evolved.I drew and attached a fire energy onto Electabuzz retreated Mewtwo and thunderpunched with heads to kill his wartortle cause of weakness and won because he had no more basics.

Me vs My Friend Brendan with Sponge

His deck is similar to mine except that he has Scythers instead of Magmars.I won the flip and had a Mewtwo out with Electabuzz on bench and he had the same thing as me.I drew and billed for a computer search and plus power, attached a psychic energy onto Mewtwo got rid of two energies to C.S. for another plus power and then used energy absorption.Brendan drew and attached an electric energy on his Electabuzz and said go.I drew and attached an electric energy onto Electabuzz and psyburned to kill his Mewtwo.He sent out Electabuzz and attached energy on Electabuzz and thunderpunched doing ten to himself.I drew and put Magmar on bench and attached an energy on him and put two plus powers and psyburned two kill his Electabuzz and with no bench I won.

Me vs Pokemon Champion(don't know his name) with Potpourri/Wiggly

He goes and attaches an colorless onto his jiggly and pounded.I drew and attached a energy on my lonesome Mewtwo and said go.He drew and put down three pokemon from his hand on his bench,professored oak and put two more pokemon down,evolved into Wiggly and attached a energy to do the wave to knock me out and win because I had no more basics.

I placed second in the tournament and recieved $15.00 store credit and bought card covers for my other deck.
