Cameron Park, CA
Jacobs Field baseball cards
about 15 people
At todays pokemon leage i decided to use my wigglytuff deck called Bad
Balloons. Here it is "Bad Balloons":
16 pokemon
4 wigglytuff
4 jigglypuff
4 scyther
2 chansey
2 ditto
25 trainers
4 oak
4 bill
4 rocket sneak attack
1 lass
4 pluspower
3 gust of wind
3 computer search
19 energy
4 double colorless energy
4 full heal energy
4 potion energy
7 grass energy
strategy: start with scyther or chansey to stall while you load up
jigglypuff into wigglytuff, and bill and oak to load your bench. RSA and
lass are there to mostly keep your opponent from slowing you down with
certain cards, we all know.
round 1 vs my friend with a grass/fighting deck.
He started with a tangela while i started with chansey to stall until
my awaiting jigglypuff was ready. Hewon the toss and attatched an energy
to tangela. I attatched an energy to jiggly and then it was his turn. He
played an energy on tangela then put down a nidoran (f) on his bench. he
attacked for 20 and paralyzed chansey, but that didn't matter because i
wasn't planning on attacking. I drew a scyther and played it on the
bench. then i used RSA and got a look at some of the stage 2 cards in
his hand, golem and nidoqueen, then he shuffled a scoop up back in his
deck. charged jigglypuff, my turn was finished. he used bill then energy
removaled my jigglypuff twice from the last two turns. then he attacked
once more with bind. then i got an oak on my next draw, chrged jiggly
and evolved then placed down a few more bench. then he went placed down
a geodude and started charging on him, then he binded once more, no
paralis. then i went attached DCE to wigglytuff and scooped chansey
placed it back on the bench, then brought out the bad balloon himself
and got my first prize. he brought out geodude then evolved into
graveler and stalled with its harden attack. i kept on beating away on
the next few turns as he charged a hitmonlee. then he finally attcked
with graveler, it only did 40 instead of 80 because he always likes
playing powerless. the next turn i finished it off and he brought out a
fully charged hitmonlee and KO 'd wigglytuff. lucky i had a loaded
scyther to slash away with the next two turns. after hitmonlee and the
benched nidoran the game was over.
1-0
round 2 vs Daniel's friend that he brought with about the same exact
deck.
he opened with a tangela while i started with scyther and a benched
jigglypuff and its clone jigglypuff. this game actually went pretty fast
after i got a loaded wigglytuff into playand cleaned up my prizes, after
that tangela he didn't get any other attacking pokemon exept a male
nidorand that did 30, then do the wave.
2-0
round 3 vs Nick with a raindance, do the wave, hitmonlee deck.
he started with a jigglypuff while i started with an active scyther and
benched jigglypuff. i started first and attached an energy to
jigglypuff, knowing wigglytuff was coming because i had 3 in my hand.
but its usually not good to have 2 or 3 in the opening hand, unless you
have that many jigglypuff, because this deck can't sit around for
certain cards. Nick went and lullabied my active, then it woke up. he
only had that lone jigglypuff in play so i decided to try and in this
quick, i evolved jigglypuff, retreated scyther, brought out wiggly and
attached two pluspower to it then oaked and got (most needed) DCE, 2
more basics, then i attached the DCE to wiggly and ended the game.
3-0
round 4 vs Nick again
this game wasn't any different from the last one exept he had a squirtle
active and a benched jigglypuff. i started with jigglypuff and benched
scther and ditto. this game was the same, but this time when i got
wigglytuff into play he kept paralzing me with bubble, then when i had
destroyed squirtle my bench was full and easily finished off a
jigglypuff and uncharged hitmonlee.
4-0
final game of the day, vs kid that always thinks that his lucky.
he started with a squirtle (active) and a staryu. i started with scyther
and 2 benched jigglypuffs. he went first and charged squirtle, then
bubbled but didn't paralyze. i went and charged jigglypuff, then
retreated scyther and put the charged jigglypuff active and lullabied.
but then he woke up, and the whole time he was saying how lucky he was,
and i was thinking the whole time, " see what happens next turn."
he charged squirtle and evolved into wartortle, used withdraw, but that
failed. then i went and computer searched for a wigglytuff, played on
the active jigglypuff. then charged a DCE, used GOW to the staryu and
knocked it because i didn't have a full bench and plus power. then he
brought out wartortle and bit my wigglytuff. then i charged jigglypuff
and did the wave for 40. he still kept on saying how lucky and unlucky
he was. then he knocked out wiggly. this was the end of the game i drew
an oak used it got a plus power that i needed and another energy to end
the game.
5-0
today i won mostly because of the speed of this deck, that left my
opponent without any basics.
